First Look: Amanda Seyfried in Lovelace Poster

Inside Linda Lovelace Book CoverX marks the spot for sexiness. That is, if you consider porn sexy. I personally think it’s a horrific way for women to earn a living and should be abolished for the good of the children. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Check out your first official look at Amanda Seyfried as Linda Lovelace in the biopic “Lovelace”.

Directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, “Lovelace” is the story of Linda Susan Boreman aka Linda Lovelace (Seyfried), the world-famous adult film actress who taught us, er, the true meaning of deep throat and who is used and abused by the porn industry at the behest of her coercive husband Larry (Wes Bentley), before she fights back and takes control of her life.

Or at least, that’s the story “Lovelace” is going with.

The film’s heavy cast includes James Franco (as Hugh Hefner!), Hank Azaria, Juno Temple, Chloë Sevigny, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sharon Stone, Peter Sarsgaard, Eric Roberts, Adam Brody, Robert Patrick, Chris Noth, and Debi Mazar.

Why does Hollywood keep making movies about the pron industry? Sure, Boogie Nights was good (if a bit overrated), but since then they’ve been churning them out endlessly: Zach and Miri, Wonderland, Rated X, The Notorious Bettie Page, Electra Luxx- one mediocre bomb after another. Move on already, Hollywood, nobody cares!

I assuming this going to be artistic Skinemax fodder along the lines of “Chloe.” And as long as she fits these movies in-between the likes of “Letter To Juliet” and “In Time”, I don’t have a problem with that.
