Cool Stories From Zergnet

Oh My God!!! They went with something that looks like a cross between the traditional look and Alex Ross’ design when Cameron was working on the original film. I don’t know what I think yet. I like the textured look of the costume, but the webbing gets lost in it, plus what happened to the spider symbol. He fills the suit out right, he has that wiry look but I’m still up in the air on it. I think I need to see it fully, with the mask and not all damaged.

    • B-Flash

I’m with you on this one, I don’t know if I like the symbol yet the legs seem to reach down to his crotch lol and it’s all broken up into little pieces. Looks like someone tried to rip it apart, maybe they didn’t like it lol.

Could be claw marks from the Lizard.

Anyone else notice the shiny and semi swollen part on the inside of the wrists? Web shooters anyone? Yes please!!

        • B-Flash

Yep those look like web shooters to me, I can already see him running out of web fluid mid air.

  • Vineland

Not bad, but I’m with you Dedpool it really has to be with the mask to really gauge the look. Also I’m not sure but I think I can see mechanical web shooters as Andrew/Peter has little metal studs on his wrists.

For some reason or other in the Sam Raimi incarnations Peter Parker (from what I remember) never seems to have his mask on at the end which I thought was really shoddy for someone who is trying to keep his identity secret. I hope in this film Peter Parker keeps his mask on during the climactic action scenes at the end.

Wow. This will either be really bad or barely good.
I don’t like the idea of Peter having to use web shooters.
though i did not read the spider-man comics, i don’t know if he used them or if they came from his wrist like in Sam Raimi’s adaptation.
I like the spider web coming from his powers and not a mechanical web shooter.

Definitely has web shooters in the comic, though for a time they were organic.

I just lost interest in this franchise. They took an actor I wouldn’t place as either peter or Spiderman, as well as jack up the Spidey Suit.

  • Juggernaut

It looks really cool! I had all but dismissed this movie until now. Garfield looks long and lean. The suit is dark and textured. I’m not crazy about the redesign of the costume though. The webbing aspect is not there and that is an iconic aspect of his costume. Like you said Dedpool, I can’t wait to see the whole package.

  • Simodoggie

okay guys remind me why spider-man need webb-shooter (and i think web-shooters are awsome) and why it,s not like in spider-man one or in spider-man indei

    • http://www.originalgeekspodcast.com/ Dedpool

He didnt get them in the mutation from the spider in the comics. But the movies gave em to him from the bite. New movies old school rules. Lol.

  • Simodoggie

oh that,s right spiders dont shoot webb from the limbs . one thing i will miss in a spider-man movie is a bruce campbell cameo

  • Shazam!

While it’s hard to tell from one pic (and a dark, mask off, post fight pic to boot!) I dig it!
I get the changes – let’s face it, it’s pretty much the easiest way to distinguish/distance themselves from the previous movies. Spidey 1,2 & 3 didn’t really get too creative or take many chances with the costume and result in my opinion looked like a costume, as opposed to a suit that a teenager would have made and worn. Like I said… I dig it, especially if they give me BIG EYE lenses on the costume and web shooters!!

    • Juggernaut

The big eye lenses would look cool with this new outfit! Have the Ultimate spider-man look. Let’s hope that the rest of the movie delivers like this pic!

  • ThorsFury

Would of like to seen the comic costume instead of the artsy fartsy version. Where in the hell is the Spider symbol on the chest or is that some sort of autograph?

    • http://www.originalgeekspodcast.com/ Dedpool

That wouldabeen like Batman Begins using the Burton batman suit. They had to make some changes to distinguish the the new from the old. The symbol looks like it was messed up in battle.
