Entertainment Tonight has your first look at footage from South Korean director Chan-wook Park’s virgin foray into Hollywood moviemaking, the atmospheric drama “Stoker” (written by “Prison Break’s” Wentworth Miller, FYI). There’s less than a minute of footage, but I think it’s pretty obvious something supernatural is afoot here when it comes to Uncle Charlie, aka Matthew Goode’s character. After all, there’s probably a reason the family’s last name is Stoker, if you know what I mean. The official trailer should be out soon, but until then, get your first glimpse of “Stoker” below.
After India’s father dies, her Uncle Charlie, who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her unstable mother. She comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives and becomes increasingly infatuated with him.
Starring Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman, Matthew Goode, Dermot Mulroney, Lucas Till, and Jackie Weaver.
Look for it next year on March 1st, 2013.
Update: Official trailer below.
