First Look at Gambit from X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Written by Nix | December 1st, 2008 | 0 Comments |

Here’s your first look at the mutant character Gambit in the upcoming “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” played by Dane Cook — wait, that’s not Dane Cook! What the hell? Nope. That’s actually Taylor Kitsch, one of the stars of NBC’s football teen show Friday Night Lights. Yeah, Tim Riggins himself is Gambit, the card-throwing cajun from X-Men lore. Apparently when this image of Gambit showed up during a showing of the “Wolverine” trailer, audiences went batty. I’m not sure why; when I first saw it, I thought it was Dane Cook, and when was the last time Dane Cook got people excited about one of his movies? Not a bad comedian, but man, the dude can’t pick a movie project to save his life.

Anyways. Here’s Gambit, who like Deadpool (played by Ryan Reynolds) has a small role in the upcoming Hugh Jackman mutant fest “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”. Seriously, they gotta change the title. Either go with “Wolverine” or — well, they should just go with “Wolverine”, since at this point if you don’t know who Wolverine is without having to be told he’s one of the X-Men, you probably ain’t gonna go see the movie anyways.

And oh yeah, Empire has another look at Wolverine getting all posey on us.
