Plus, another official pic of star Lily Collins (Snow White herself) and the seven dwarfs, who will all be played by actual dwarfs. Or, er, little people? This is in contrast to Universal’s “Snow White and the Huntsman”, which is definitely going more “gritty” (Snow White was recently spotted wearing combat armor and leading troops, for God’s sake) than “fantasy”, which seems to be what Relativity Media and director Tarsem Singh is definitely going for here. Though knowing Singh, the fantasy will definitely had a slight dark tinge to it.
These first look images from the (still) untitled “Snow White” movie comes courtesy of EW. In the article, Singh calls Roberts’ evil queen character “the cat that ate the canary. From serial killers to anyone who does evil deeds, they basically have a devil-made-me-do-it excuse, or they hear voices,. I decided for the evil queen, this is going to be a person who sees her [good] self — but there’s a mirror personality.”
Sure, Tarsem, whatever you say, man.
Relativity’s “Snow White” arrives March 16, 2012.
First look at Snow White and her dwarf saviors, played by Jordan Prentice, Joey Gnoffo , Sabastian Saraceno, Collins, Martin Klebba, Mark Provinelli, Ronald Lee Clark and Danny Woodburn.
And Armie Hammer as Prince Charming:
