They really could have done better with the Helmet. I thought I was looking at blocky video game footage at first glance. Who knows, maybe it looks better in motion.

From this angle the helmet just looks too big, like a little kid in a football helmet.

        That’s exactly what I thought.

People keep forgetting that all that space doesnt mean it’ll be loose. It’s padded and probably molded for his head.

It doesn’t look bad. But it could be better. I’ll wait to see a full picand a trailer before I judge. It does look a bit more grounded though, hoping the bike and the city look more futuristic.

@ Brent it the helmet were smaller it’d look like it doesnt fit him. There should be space at the bottom around the jaw, otherwise it’d be like the Magneto movie helmet with a visor.

LOL!!! RLMAO!!! Oh man, all I can picture is the helmet shifting back and forth on his head and the back part hitting the back of his neck. LOL! The helmet is too big man.LOL!

Kid Anakin in that pod racing helmet comes to mind Ulik.

Yeah, like I said Ded. I’ll wait to see it in motion.

Ulik – it’s a movie! It’s not supposed to actually be protective gear — it is supposed to look COOL!

    • ULIK

@Robert I know it’s a movie. What you thought I was thinking that this a real uniform for some super space cop? I went to the movies to see the first Jude Dredd movie starring Sylvester Stallone over ten years ago and that helmet looks waaay better than this. This is a bad design,go take a look at the Judge Dredd comics, the designs with Sly then look at this. If you still say this looks good, then your fooling yourself. Even this uniform has a “Smallville” cheesyness to it. Although the 1st Judge Dredd movie wasn’t good, the designs were superb. If you haven’t seen it go check it out.

There is only so much suspension of disbelief. Gotta have some believability. Other wise its bulletproof spandex. No thanks.

  • Vineland

On first impressions the picture doesn’t look too corny. Like comparing the old bat suit to the new bat suit, this uniform looks more realistic and less clunky in comparison to Sly’s.

    • ULIK

@Vineland The original comic design was actually way more clunky than Sly’s. At least in Sly’s version they actually stayed faithful to the comic but toned it down.

Looks okay in an uninspired sort of way but not as faithful as this version of the uniform:

It’s a pity they have to make silly changes but that’s movie making for you! The original version is totally possible to do in live action. It’s crazy to dismiss that.

Hey we have Karl Urban!! Really? Let’s cover him up in a helmet! Good idea!!!

    • http://www.originalgeekspodcast.com/ Dedpool aka Jiinx

Well yeah. People got mad they took the helmet off in the first movie. Dread NEVER takes the helmet off.
