First Look at Matt Damon in The Green Zone

Written by Nix | April 2nd, 2008 | 0 Comments |

Personally I thought Paul Greengrass’s new Iraq War movie, “Green Zone” sounded better when it was going by the very novel-friendly title of “Imperial Life in the Emerald City: Inside Iraq’s Green Zone”. Via the boys over at Thebadandugly.com, here is your first look at Matt Damon all gussied up as a military fellow who is, if Damon’s past collaboration with Greengrass is any indication, a real badass who can kill you so much as spit at you. The film will co-star Amy Ryan, Greg Kinnear, Jason Isaacs, and Brendan Gleeson.

The film version will be loosely based on the novel by Rajiv Chandrasekaran, and there are two plot descriptions going around: one lists the movie as being about American CIA agents trying to uncover those elusive Weapons of Mass Destruction that Saddamn was supposed to have, while the other seems to indicate a more post-invasion film, about the Americans’ attempt to set up a government in the war-torn nation.

Either way, it ain’t gonna turn out pretty, especially if Greengrass continues using that vomit-inducing camera shooting style of his.
