First Look at Princess Merida from Pixar’s Upcoming Adventure Brave

Try as I might, I simply cannot muster any enthusiasm for Pixar’s “Cars 2″. I just can’t do it. You see, I wasn’t a big very big fan of the original, and this one certainly doesn’t appear to be doing anything overly different. This is kind of disappointing, as I felt the company was on the upswing with “Wall-E”, “Up”, and “Toy Story 3″. Insert audible sigh here. Oh well. I suppose I’ll just have to wait until Pixar’s potentially badass adventure outing “Brave” hits the big screen next year. The first pic from the flick is positioned above, and I must say I’m pretty impressed with the overall character design. I’m anxious to see more.

In case you’re curious, here’s the synopsis:

Scottish princess, Merida, defies her parents by perusing an interest in archery, but inadvertently jeopardizes her father’s kingdom in the process.

“Brave” features the voice talents of Kelly Macdonald, Emma Thompson, Craig Ferguson, Kevin McKidd, Robbie Coltrane and Billy Connolly. Honestly, you had me at Craig Ferguson.

Todd was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood blockbusters, late-night Cinemax programming, and USA’s “Up All Night,” which may explain why his taste in movies is more than a little questionable. When he isn’t providing news and reviews for Beyond Hollywood, he can be found lounging lazily on his couch, perched in front of his television, or dwelling in places where direct sunlight can be easily avoided. He's happily married, in his 30's, and totally badass. If you'd like to reach Todd, you can follow him on Twitter or send him email/scoops to todd (at) beyondhollywood.com.
