First Look at Ray Parks as Snake Eyes in G.I. Joe!
G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra (2009) Movie — By Nix on March 20, 2008 |
Okay, so I’m going under the assumption that this is Ray Park underneath all that black and heavy mask, but it could be a slimmer Rosie O’Donnell for all I know. In any case, here’s your first look at what Snake Eyes will look like from the upcoming “G.I. Joe” movie (head on below to see the full image). This looks like an actual live photograph, but who knows, with today’s CGI and photography editing, it could be one of those “concept” artwork. For for comparison’s sake, I’ve included a picture of a comic book version of Snake Eyes. You can see where they got the “inspiration” from.
So if Snake Eyes looks exactly like he did in the photo below, will Storm Shadow (played by Byung Hun Lee) also look like he does in the artwork below? It would be cool if he did, though.

Oh stop complaining…
Be happy they’re actually trying to make the movie. Snake Eye’s looks good, period. Now lets see what they do with the rest of it.
Ray Park is a decent enough actor, granted he hasn’t had a lot of actual speaking roles but give the guy a break, he is a good (Acrobatic) Martial Artist, lets see how well his acting skills do.
Everyone knows the main reason we want to see the movie is the fight between Snake Eye’s & Storm Shadow anyway… LOL
NO, they couldn’t have gone with just anyone to play the part. For one thing, Snake-Eyes wasn’t always a mute. He lost his voice in a helicopter crash saving Scarlett, as the original comics detail. His face was also scarred badly: hence his mask and permanent costume thereafter. Rumor has it that Ray Park plays Snake-Eyes both before and after that accident. So they needed an actor who was a very good martial artist, but also someone who can act.
I just creamed my pants… all I have to say is WOW,WOW, WEE WOO!
BEAUTIFUL
He’s wearing a mask and he’s not going to say a word in the movie and that makes Ray Snake-eyes???? It’s doesn’t. Only stereotype action junkie Star Wars/Darth Maul nutcases somehow think that Ray is the only person on the planet that can play this role.
They could have gone with anyone.
It’s so bang on it’s ridiculous. Could this movie actually be a pleasent surprise like Transformers?
Wow. Just wow. Jesus, he looks like he stepped right off a comic book page. Man, I’m just really awestruck here. Okay, I’ll shut up now…
