First Look at Ray Stevenson as The Punisher!

The boys over at Moviesonline.ca recently did an interview with “Punisher: War Zone” director Lexi Alexander (who, it should be said, is a real dish), and when the interview was over they got themselves the first image of Ray Stevenson as Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, from the movie (thumbnail to your left, bigger version below). That’s one big gun you got there, Frank.
Waging his one-man war on the world of organized crime, ruthless vigilante-hero Frank Castle sets his sights on overeager mob boss Billy Russoti. After Russoti is left horribly disfigured by Castle, he sets out for vengeance under his new alias: Jigsaw. With the “Punisher Task Force” hot on his trail and the FBI unable to take Jigsaw in, Frank must stand up to the formidable army that Jigsaw has recruited before more of his evil deeds go unpunished.
Starring Ray Stevenson as the Punisher and directed by Lexi Alexander (”Hooligans”).

Do you think he looks like Stevan Segal? I do!lol. Thanks for plugging hte interview Nix ( I am a regular reader here )
He actually looks a lot like the Punisher from the ’80s limited series. A big brute who could just as easily snap your neck as shoot you in the face. I think he’ll work much better than Thomas Jane, who I’m a fan of.
Ray Stevenson really looks nothing like Steven Seagal. (ok who doesn’t look like Seagal if they just squint hard enough). There are media clips and photos of Ray on http://www.ray-sevenson.com and some other interesting information about the man. Enjoy.
