First Look at Starz’s New Take on Camelot

Starz has released the first official video/featurette for their upcoming new TV series “Camelot”, which according to the actors, has plenty of the things that made Starz’s other original show, “Spartacus” so popular. Namely, blood and violence and sex. Though apparently the whole shebang is very unlike anything you’ve seen before, which hopefully doesn’t mean it’ll go overboard in trying to be so “different” that it ends up torpedoing itself. I’m just saying, there’s a reason the traditional tale has remained so popular…

The series stars Joseph Fiennes as Merlin, Eva Green as Morgana, Claire Forlani as Queen Igraine, and Jamie Campbell Bower and Tamsin Egerton as King Arthur and Guinevere, respectively.

Catch Arthur and company when the show premieres April 1st, 2011 on the Starz Channel.

Better be as good as Spartacus.

Gonna be a little odd seeing Merlin without the hair, then again i’ve been watching a young Merlin for 3 years now so I think I can deal with it, but Tamsin is the real reason i’m gonna be watching :)

I think they Merlin was inspired a little by “Excalibur”‘s Merlin.
