First Look at Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson’s Tintin Movie

The boys at Empire have your first look at Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson’s upcoming “Tintin” movie, “The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn”, starring the kid with the interesting hair (voiced by Jamie Bell) and his dog. The movie is based on “The Adventures of Tintin”, a series of comic strips created by the Belgian artist Georges Rémi. If you’ve never heard of Tintin, then you’re probably a little like me. That is obviously going to change when the dynamic duo of Spielberg and Jackson unleash the flick into theaters next year. The film will be one of those fancy performance-captured flicks in 3D, so get ready to pay an extra couple of bucks, parents.

More from Empire:

So what can we expect from the story? Here’s what Spielberg told us. “The first part of the film, which is the most mysterious part, certainly owes much to not only film noir but the whole German Brechtian theatre — some of our night scenes and our action scenes are very contrasty. But at the same time the movie is a hell of an adventure.”

Featuring the voices of Simon Pegg, Daniel Craig, Cary Elwes, Andy Serkis, Nick Fros, Jamie Bell, Tony Curran, Toby Jones, and directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson.
