First Look at the David Fincher Produced The Goon
Comic Book Movie News, The Goon (2009) Movie — By Nix on March 16, 2009 |
Over at the geek hub, AICN’s got your first look at the David Fincher produced CG animated movie “The Goon”, based on the comic book series by Eric Powell, who is also writing and directing the movie version himself. So what’s it all about? Wikipedia has more on the comic book series…
The story is about the adventures of the Goon, a muscle-bound brawler who claims to be the primary enforcer for the feared mobster Labrazio. The Goon (and his sidekick Franky) often get tied up in other machinations, often in relation to the evil zombie gangs under the command of the Nameless Zombie Priest.
The series has a distinctly paranormal slant, with the average story concerning ghosts, ghouls, skunk-apes with an unnatural hunger for pie, extra-dimensional aliens, and mad scientists.
Skunk-apes with an unnatural hunger for pie? Replace “skunk-apes” with “movie blogger” and you got half the Internet. Just kidding, fellow movie bloggers. We prefer taffy.
