First Look at the Disappointingly PG-13-Rated Shark Night 3D

Check out your first look at David R. Ellis’ “Shark Night 3D” from the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. The image shows lead actress Sara Paxton, leader of a group of sexy college kids destined to become shark bait. That’s the good news.

The bad news? This thing is PG-13. Yeah, so sorry kids, no gratuitous T&A and blood and gore for you!

Says Paxton about the “plot” and rating:

Everyone is going to her lake house to have fun and party and, uh, die, I guess. It’s very different from [Alexandre Aja's "Piranha 3D"]. But I don’t think people should go in expecting “The Reader” with Kate Winslet, either.

Paxton co-stars with Alyssa Diaz, Dustin Milligan, Chris Carmack, Katharine McPhee, Sinqua Walls, Joel Moore, and Chris Zylka. David R. Ellis, famous for the infamous “Snakes on a Plane” and the “Final Destination” movies, will just have to cut down on the language and bloody stuff, both of which, let’s face it, he’s famous for.

PG-13 or not,a movie that involves the ocean and sharks can be truely terrifying without any bloodshed if directed and toned right.
