Who the heck is Bob Stookey? I have no idea, but apparently he’s a big character in the “Walking Dead” comic books and appeared in one of the novels called “The Road to Woodbury”. For the rest of us, he just looks like a pretty badass fellow, but then again, maybe it’s just because he’s carrying a sidearm and a machinegun.
Stookey, we’re told by EW, will be a former Army medic who is found by Norman Reedus’ Daryl Dixon “about a week before events pick up in season 4.” He will also be “haunted” by his past.
Stookey will be played by former “The Wire” actor Lawrence Gilliard Jr., making him the second “Wire” veteran, joining Chad Coleman’s Tyrese character, who after a less than awesome first meeting with Rick, now seems to be ready to join Team Rick.
Season 4 of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” picks up where Season 3 left off this October. Until then, here’s your first look at Bob Stookey. I like that name. Stookey. It’s Stookilicious.
