First Look at Twilight - Set Pics

By Nix | March 31, 2008 (11:14 pm)

I had no idea who Stephenie Meyer was, or what her series of vampire novels “Twilight” was all about, until — well, Hollywood decided to make a movie about it, and set Catherine Hardwicke to direct (from a script by Melissa Rosenberg). The books seem to have quite a following, if all the comments about the pros and cons of the cast in the “Twilight” threads are any indication. Via Shock Til You Drop, here are some pictures from the set of “Twilight”, featuring mostly the cast at a high school setting, which I’m told is where much of the film takes place.

Bella Swan is a girl just trying to survive Forks, Washington- the town with the worst weather in the United States- because her mother’s just married a baseball player. Edward Cullen is one of five teenagers adopted by the amazingly intelligent and handsome Dr. Cullen, and all he wants is to guard his eerily beautiful family’s secret- that they’re all vampires who’ve given up hunting humans. Can Edward keep up the “vegetarian” lifestyle when he falls for Bella, whose blood has a scent sweeter than anyone on the planet’s? Or, more importantly, can he protect her from others who don’t have the same amount of self-control
