I get the feeling Sam Worthington’s “Man on a Ledge” is going to open then disappear and no one is going to notice. After all, the film is hitting theaters late this month, and I’m pretty sure most people don’t even know it exists. There’s also only been that one trailer for the film (although there was a shorter International trailer, which I’ve added below), which is odd for a major Hollywood release. I mean, when the studio can’t even be bothered to release more than one trailer, you know they’ve given you up for dead. D-E-D. Dead. Anyways, in case you were interested in the movie, here’s an action-packed clip from it, featuring Sam Worthington fleeing a bunch of trigger happy SWAT cops. I’m guessing randomly shooting up the hotel to get your man is NOT procedure, but hey, I could be wrong.
An ex-cop turned con threatens to jump to his death from a Manhattan hotel rooftop. The NYPD dispatch a female police psychologist to talk him down. However, unbeknownst to the police on the scene, the suicide attempt is a cover for the biggest diamond heist ever pulled.
Also starring Jamie Bell, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Banks, Genesis Rodriguez, Ed Harris, Titus Welliver, Kyra Sedgwick, Edward Burns, William Sadler, and directed by Asger Leth.
Jumping January 27, 2012.
