Yeah, the Donald Blake thing would make sense or maybe Thor will just volunteer his time in soup kitchens and homeless shelters or something.LOL! He can't be going around telling people his name is Thor son of Odin heir to the throne of Asgard. But as Donald Blake he'd be doing allot of humanitarian stuff like helping sick people in hospitals etc.

He looks good but, his outfit also has a hint of modern manufacturing to it that could get campy if they are not careful. I will wait to see some more pictures before I pass judgement though. I love Thor and I want him done right, period. But so far, not bad.

Oh, and one more thing. He better be big, as in, digitally adjusted to be around 7 or 8 feet tall, with proportional scaling. If they don't do that he will end up looking like a whimp standing next to the Hulk in the Avengers movie, not to mention Ironman.

  • ulik

I do agree with ya there, according to Marvel, Thor is 6″6 and Chris Hemsworth is 6″3,the right boots and cinematography can help that. The Hulk is 8FT tall. Hulk still towers over Thor.

Yeah. That what I'm saying. Gotta have Donald Blake.

  • Alexander

What do you mean “not to mention ironman”?? Robert Downey isn't even 5'10″, never mind 6'3″. Also, I'm not crazy about the beard.

  • Original Thor Fan

As a Thor purist from the early days, I would rather see him in his original costume and without the beard. They could make slight adjustments to make it look “tough” on the big screen, but it should be sleeveless. Maybe they felt Hemsworth's arms weren't big enough to pull it off without the sleeves, but I would have preferred to see the original Thor. At least they didn't modernize his hammer.

Mjolnir is found at the end of IM2, after the credits.

I too would have been upset if they had used the axe version.

“Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior” you have got to be kidding me! They are going to make thor a angry spoiled prince-ling. Great. This is already a epic fail.
