The official picture on the left gives me a sort of an Elle Woods sort of vibe, maybe it’s because of the little dog in the bag, but we won’t be seeing the bend and snap in those movie, so ignore my logic on that. It’s far from that girly girl movie.
Anyway, in the film, Theron plays an alcoholic writer of young-adult novels who, on a whim, decides to return to the small town that she left behind years ago to aggressively pursue her ex-boyfriend from high school (Patrick Wilson) — only now he is happily married and the father of a young child, which certainly complicates matters, and leads her to another high school classmate (Patton Oswalt), and no shortage of trouble.
Reitman reteams with his “Juno” writer Diablo Cody when the film hits limited release on December 9 in the U.S. and will have a wider release later on December 16.
