First Poster for Killing Them Softly

Take a look at the first official poster for Andrew Dominik’s “Killing Them Softly”. The film was once called “Cogan’s Trade”, but whatever you call it, it’s not nearly as ponderous as Dominik’s previous film, “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford”.

The poster looks good, though I’m not sure why there is an American flag reflected off the glasses. It makes the movie appear more political than it probably is. I mean, it’s about a mob enforcer played by Brad Pitt who goes after a bunch of guys who robbed a mob-run poker game. That doesn’t seem especially “American”-centric to me. But whatever, check out the poster.

Also starring Ray Liotta, James Gandolfini, Richard Jenkins, Sam Shepard, Max Casella, Bella Heathcote, and Scoot McNairy.

Killing them all September 21, 2012.
