Hint: It wasn’t fun.

Here’s your first look at a poster for Mel Gibson’s “How I Spent My Summer Vacation”, which finds Gibson playing a career criminal who gets nabbed by Mexican authorities and placed in a tough prison. No worries, though, because our hero/criminal learns to survive his new homestead with the help of a 9-year-old boy. You know, same thing you probably did last summer vacation.

The film stars Mel Gibson, Peter Stormare, Dean Norris, Bob Gunton, Scott Cohen, Patrick Bauchau, Kevin Hernandez, and is directed by Adrian Grunberg, who co-wrote the script with Gibson.

Learn how Gibson spent his very awesome summer vacation sometime in 2012.
