Frank Darabont may have gotten kicked off AMC’s “The Walking Dead”, but he looks to have righted himself just fine. The producer/director is currently running a new period drama on TNT called “Mob City” (formerly “L.A. Noir”, before it became “Lost Angels”)), with his “Walking Dead” buddy Jon Bernthal stalling. TNT has now released the first trailer for the show, which you can take a gander at below. Guys in fedoras. What’s not to love?
It looks violent as all get-out. Kinda like that movie “Gangster Squad”, but without all the glossy Hollywood surface.
Acclaimed filmmaker Frank Darabont (Walking Dead, Shawshank Redemption) brings 1940s Los Angeles to life in TNT’s eagerly anticipated television event, MOB CITY.
Based on the real-life accounts of the cops and gangsters of the time, this is the seductive story of the violent crime underbelly of America’s most glamorous city and those who wanted to control it.
The show stars Darabont’s “Walking Dead” zombie victims Jeffrey DeMunn and Jon Bernthal, along with John Pollono, Gregory Itzin, Edward Burns, Robert Knepper, Milo Ventimiglia and Alexa Davalos.
The mob takes over on TNT this December 4th.
