First Trailer for Guy Moshe’s Bunraku Splashes Online

The last we heard about Guy Moshe’s “Bunraku”, it was being prepped for Fantastic Fest 2010 and was making the festival rounds. This, I believe, is the first trailer we’ve ever seen for it, which is surprising given a cast that includes Josh Harnett, Woody Harrelson, Ron Perlman, Demi Moore, and Kevin McKidd. As expected, the film is clearly a stylish action movie set in some alternate universe with a lot of “Sin City”-esque green screen work and silly character names like “The Drifter” and “Killer No. 2″. The trailer is, well, certainly colorful.

The story of a young man who has spent his life searching for revenge only to find himself up against a bigger challenge than he originally bargained for.

When can you expect to see it in theaters or on DVD? Your guess is as good as mine, but waiting for it to go straight to DVD is probably your best bet.

I’d equate it more to “300” and “Spartacus” simply because those were more colorful, but were also green screen films and heavily infulenced by comics in the case of “Spartacus”
