Former Saw Man to Continue the Bloodbath with Abattoir

Abattoir Movie, Horror Movie News — By Nix on July 22, 2009

Darren Lynn Bousman, a veteran of the “Saw” movies (he directed the second, third, and fourth part in the never-ending franchise) is on tap to direct another bloodbath of a movie for Radical Pictures. This time around, there won’t be an evil genius serial killer, although there apparently will be a crazy old man who leads our hero into darkness and other horrific situations.

Variety says “Abattoir” (”slaughterhouse” in French) will center around an ambitious real estate agent who is cleaning up the remnants of a massacre at a mansion when he’s visited by a twisted old man who draws him into a web of shadows, murders and massacres. Now I don’t know about you, but I don’t know why he would follow some old guy anywhere, but maybe that’s just me. I don’t trust old people as far as I can throw them.

Darren Lynn Bousman’s last film was “Repo! The Genetic Opera”, which got a lot of fanboy buzz, but didn’t seem to do a whole lot with it, commercial-wise. He just wrapped the remake of “Mother’s Day”.
