Former Wonder Woman Adrianne Palicki is G.I. Joe 2’s Lady Jaye

She may have only worn the tiara for one pilot episode, but Adrianne Palicki is probably glad her David E. Kelley show “Wonder Woman” never made it on the air, because it means she won’t have commit to it and can move on to bigger and better things, like playing the female lead in “G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes”, the upcoming Paramount sequel set to be directed by Jon Chu.

Deadline reports that Palicki will play Lady Jaye, who according to Wikipedia, is the team’s covert operations specialist whose real name is Alison R. Hart-Burnett. Besides being Airborne and Ranger qualified, Lady Jaye is also an accomplished actress, master impersonator, and is fluent in many languages.

Palicki joins new castmembers Dwayne Johnson, who will play another important new character named Roadblock, Elodie Yung as a ninja named Jinx, and D.J. Cotrona as Flint. Rapper RZA will play The Blind Master, Snake Eyes and Jinx’s master. Only Byung Hun-lee, Ray Park, and Channing Tatum are expected back from the first movie.

The latest look for Lady Jaye and Flint:

I guess since Duke has the romance thingy with the Baroness, there’s no need for Scarlett. Even though Baroness, the character, is hotter than Scartlett…..Rachel Nichols should come back for eye candy alone.

Im kinda annoyed that we won’t get scarlett back (for obvious reasons;), but i guess that Snake Eyes will be more important in the sequel really is great news!!

Cool! Glad to hear that they added Lady Jaye. The JOE’s are rounding out nicely. Now… who will represent the COBRA side??? No Cobra Comander? No Destro? No Baroness? No Zartan? Granted all but Baroness can be easily re-cast because of the masks and disguise elements. Even Baroness could be re-cast, they do it all the time. But really, beside’s Storm Shadow, who I’m assuming is returning as a villain (there was a time when he became a JOE in the cartoons), who are they going to bring in?
My dream COBRA team would be:
Cobra Commander (doesn’t matter who plays him as long as he has a cool, snake like voicea and somewhat resembles the physique of JGL to have some consistency)
Destro (same thing as above. Chris Eccleson was a good pre-mask Destro but oh well!)
    Zartan (see above)
Baroness (hopefully they bring back the smokin’ hot Sienna Miller, if not cast someone equally as hot. Don’t play so much to the ridiculous pairing of her and Duke and add the accent!)
Xamot and Tomax- played by either Mathew Goode (Watchmen) or Jude Law (Shrelock Holmes)
    Dreadnoks and B.A.T.’s !!!

          Was thinking kunis

Kunis should never be allowed in a movie where she has to carry a gun. Seeing her running around with a machinegun in “Max Payne” was easily the most absurd thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Plus, she’s too midget-y.

        Jovovich.

        Sent on the go.

Despite Ms. Jovovich’s physical appearance (which ain’t all that hot in my apperance), she can’t act worth a damn. She’s bland, shows no emotion, and hasn’t done anything all that impressive with her acting career. Sure, Fifth Element was a good movie, but not because of her.
