What can’t Ang Lee do? Martial arts, Western, comic book, drama, romance — dude has done it all, and done it pretty damn well to boot. There is no half-assing it for this man, that’s for sure. His latest is “Life of Pi”, which once again extends the man’s range into 3D. I’m not the biggest fan of 3D, but it looks like he puts it to good use here. Not sure how a movie about a kid and a tiger on a lifeboat can last two hours, though. Check out four clips from “Life of Pi” if you’re so inclined.
Director Ang Lee (Brokeback Mountain, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) creates a groundbreaking movie event about a young man who survives a tragic disaster at sea and is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While marooned on a lifeboat, he forms an amazing and unexpected connection with the ship’s only other survivor — a fearsome Bengal tiger.
Starring Suraj Sharma, Tobey Maguire, Gérard Depardieu, Irrfan Khan, Tabu, Adil Hussain, Ayush Tandon, and floating into theaters November 21, 2012.
