Rejoice, horror fans — Christopher Smith’s “Triangle” is currently in post-production, but from the looks of this nearly four-minute promo reel for the movie, it sure looks like it’s almost finished. The film has a group of friends sailing in the ocean when they run into a storm, forcing them to seek shelter inside an abandoned ocean liner. Melissa George stars as Jess, a traumatized woman who believes she’s been on the ocean liner before, and slowly begins to realize that events may be repeating itself with dire results for all involved, but especially for the mentally unstable Jess.
From the Director of Creep and Severance, comes Triangle, a unique concept psychological thriller that turns the genre on its head. When Jess sets sail on a yacht with a group of friends, she cannot shake the feeling that there is something wrong. Her suspicions are realised when the yacht hits a storm and the group is forced to board a passing ocean liner to get to safety, a ship Jess is convinced she’s been on before. The ship appears deserted, the clock on board has stopped, but they are not alone… Someone is intent on hunting them down, one by one. And Jess unknowingly holds the key to end the terror.
The promo reel is pretty revealing, but since the production company is releasing it, I won’t put a SPOILER tag on it.
Starring Melissa George, Holly Marie Combs, Rachael Carpani, and written and directed by Christopher Smith (“Creep”). There is no release date for the film as yet.
