Frank Darabont Exits Law Abiding Citizen?

Written by Nix | October 13th, 2008 | 0 Comments |

Looks like Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx’s criminal thriller “Law Abiding Citizen” will just have to find themselves a new director. Or at least, that’s the rumor from Aint-it-Cool-News, who says that Frank Darabont (”The Mist”, “The Shawshank Redemption”) is now “out” as director of the movie, and that it “ended ugly” to boot. Which reminds me, the last time something ended ugly for me, I got locked out of my apartment and had to pick my pajamas and dirty underoos off the front lawn while my neighbors snickered at me behind my back. Hopefully it didn’t get that ugly when Darabont ended his relationship with the movie. And who knows if this is even true?

Says AICN:

Hey, guys. I have an extremely reliable source who says ‘[Frank] Darabont is out of LAW ABIDING CITIZEN and I mean really out. It apparently ended ugly.’ So take that and do what you will.

Darabont had been connected to the movie for the longest time, too, so something really must have gotten bad real fast if he decided to walk off the movie now, with Jamie Foxx just being added to the movie and all. Then again, this is just a rumor…

Below: Now without a director, the cast and crew of “Law Abiding Citizen” were left to wander the world aimlessly…
