That rascal Hitler. He sure loved his movies. Or at least, he does in Quentin Tarantino’s version of World War II, which has the evil German master race, er, master going to a French movie theater, where the film’s good guys flock to kill his ass. Check out a new, International (aka French) trailer for Tarantino’s “Inglourious Basterds”, which I must admit, gets me more and more intrigued everytime I see something new for it.
In Nazi-occupied France during World War II, a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as “The Basterds” are chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Basterds soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by the soldiers.
Starring Brad Pitt, Mélanie Laurent, Eli Roth, Christoph Waltz, Michael Fassbender, Diane Kruger, Daniel Brühl, Til Schweiger, Gedeon Burkhard, Jacky Ido, B.J. Novak, and Omar Doom. Written and directed by Quentin Tarantino.
Hitler gets his August 21.
