Man, there are so many potentially racist caricatures in this trailer for Disney’s “Planes” that frankly, I’d feel offended if I was prone to being offended by cartoons. But I’m not, so I guess it doesn’t matter too much. After lots of concept artwork and teaser, here is your first look at the full trailer for “Planes”. It’s like “Cars”, but with planes. Thus, the title. But I guess you already knew that, right?
The whole concept of talking vehicles living and doing “human” things still boggles my mind. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to my adult brain, but I guess that’s the point. It’s not supposed to. Or something.
From above the world of “Cars” comes “Disney’s Planes,” an action-packed 3D animated comedy adventure featuring Dusty (voice of Dane Cook), a plane with dreams of competing as a high-flying air racer. But Dusty’s not exactly built for racing—and he happens to be afraid of heights. So he turns to a seasoned naval aviator who helps Dusty qualify to take on the defending champ of the race circuit. Dusty’s courage is put to the ultimate test as he aims to reach heights he never dreamed possible, giving a spellbound world the inspiration to soar.
Starring Dane Cook, Stacy Keach, Brad Garrett, Teri Hatcher, Cedric the Entertainer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, John Cleese, Carlos Alazraqui, Priyanka Chopra, Gabriel Iglesias, Roger Craig Smith, Colin Cowherd, Sinbad, Oliver Kalkofe, Brent Musburger, Anthony Edwards, Val Kilmer.
