Well, it looks like the cat’s out of the bag. As it turns out, despite two previously very intriguing and clever (but incredibly over-hyped and deceitful) teaser trailers, David Fincher’s “The Social Network” movie really is just about some college dorks who decided to make a website called “Facebook”, then ended up fighting, suing, and screwing each other over it. Who would have thunk it? I gotta admit, though, Jesse Eisenberg looks incredibly good in the role, in a, “Man, I bet it’d be fun to punch him in the face” sort of way. Check out the full trailer below.
On a fall night in 2003, Harvard undergrad and computer programming genius Mark Zuckerberg sits down at his computer and heatedly begins working on a new idea. In a fury of blogging and programming, what begins in his dorm room soon becomes a global social network and a revolution in communication. A mere six years and 500 million friends later, Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest billionaire in history, but for this entrepreneur, success leads to both personal and legal complications.
Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake, Andrew Garfield, Joseph Mazzello and Armie Hammer, and directed by David Fincher.
Don’t get de-friended October 1, 2010.
