Treyarch has released the full 2-minute trailer for their new zombie map “Shangri-La”, which will be one of four new playable maps in the latest “Call of Duty: Black Ops” expansion pack, “Annihilation”, the third DLC this year. I’m not entirely sure setting a zombie level in such a, well, paradise-looking venue is a good idea. Isn’t the whole point of the zombie levels to confine the player to a dark, suffocating locale, and then send hordes of zombies at us? This map seems almost too bright and friendly! Plus, interesting that they’ve returned to the foursome of Richtofen, Dempsey, Nikolai, and Takeo after going the gimmicky route with the celebrities in the previous zombie level, “Call of the Dead”.
Zombies are back in “Annihilation”, as players unearth the mysteries of “Shangri-La,” a legendary shrine lost in an exotic jungle, where new undead species lurk within a treacherous labyrinth of underground caverns. Navigate through deadly traps and solve the dark secrets buried within the shifting walls of this zombie infested temple.
Other new maps in the “Annihilation” DLC include Hangar 18, Drive-In, Hazard, and Silo. XBox players, as usual, gets it first on June 28th.
