A sci-fi action-adventure that borrows heavily from the blaxploitation genre, you say? I’ll take it. Director Guillaume Ivernel’s “Soul Man” — a film which, despite its title, features a pretty gnarly female protagonist — is still in development, but that hasn’t stopped this ambitious filmmaker from dropping a promo on the masses. Ivernal is still looking for investors, so if you like what you see and you have some extra cash stuffed in a jar under your bed, you might want to think about helping the guy out.
