Anyone who knows me understands my weird love for Danny Trejo. People like to pick on me about it, claiming that I have some sort of “man crush” on the guy. And maybe I do. I try not to think about it. Even if I didn’t enjoy the Trejo’s work as much as I currently do, I’d still say that “Machete Kills” has the potential to be extremely cool. The first one is a classic in my book — it was the first film I purchased on Blu-ray — so I’m understandably excited about the sequel. Below you’ll find the first bit of promotional artwork for the film. It may be a little on the fuzzy side, but at least it’s clear enough to enjoy.
If you missed it the first time around, here’s the synopsis:
The new film finds Machete recruited by the U.S. Government for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man. Machete must battle his way through Mexico to take down a madman cartel leader and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space. Machete takes on an army in an effort to dismantle a plan for global anarchy.
Did you miss “Machete”? If so, take a gander at the trailer embedded below. You may not understand my love for Danny Trejo, but at least you can enjoy the majesty of “Machete”.
