2007 (64th Annual) Golden Globe Nominations are Out
The Golden Globes is like that aunt who lives across town, but you don’t see very often because, frankly, you don’t like the way she smells or eats. But when it’s Christmas or it’s your birthday and smelly auntie arrives with your presents, you enthusiastically greet her, even though you’ll no doubt talk about her behind her back as soon as she leaves. That’s basically the Golden Globes — no one in Hollywood respects it (when was the last time you heard an actor being heralded as “and starring Golden Globe winner…”?), but everyone wants to win one because, frankly, Hollywood people love winning shit that “proves” they’re “good” at stuff. In service of that, here’s your list of nominees for the 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards, to be held live on NBC January 15, 2007.
