FOX Renews “Bones” and “House”

FOX has renewed two of their best, lesser known shows “House” and “Bones” for an additional year. “House” will be entering its fourth season, while “Bones” gets a third. In “House”, Hugh Laurie stars as Dr. Greg House, “a brilliant and unconventional physician with a brutally honest demeanor.” “‘Bones’ stars Emily Deschanel as forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan, who can read clues left behind in victims’ bones, and David Boreanaz as FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth. These unlikely partners take on homicide cases involving human remains most forensic specialists can’t handle.” Basically, it’s two of FOX’s best shows that doesn’t get a lot of hype getting respect anyways from the network. If FOX put as much money advertising “House” and “Bones” (but in particular “Bones”) that they spend on “24″ and “Prison Break” they would have a full-fledge hit on their hands. But anyways, why look a gift horse in the mouth?

Britney Spears has Gone F’in Insane, Shaves Head

Well, you just knew it had to happen, didn’t you? K-Fed. “Chaotic”. Two marriages. Two divorces. Two kids in two years. The poor girl has finally flipped her lead and gone totally bat shit. That is, if you don’t count going into rehab, coming out of rehab, getting tattoos on your wrists, and then just for fun, shaving your head YOURSELF. Yes, that’s right. Britney Spears, formerly America’s pop princess turned late-night skank, has finally jumped off the deep end.

Willis and Jackson Re-Teams for “Black Water Transit”

Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Willis are re-teaming for the third time in “Black Water Transit”, an action-thriller that will be the third outing for the “Pulp Fiction” and “Die Hard with a Vengeance” co-stars. Production Weekly has more info on the film, including the replacement of original director Samuel Bayer, a music video vet, with Tony Kaye (”American History X”). Replacing a music video guy with a proven director? Sounds like a good move to me. I’m also intrigued by the casting of Jackson and Willis and then pitting them against each other instead of teaming them up. I don’t like the idea of Willis as a villain (he’s always a hero to me), but Jackson in anything should be fun times.

Zooey Deschanel is Dorothy in “The Tin Man” aka “The Wizard of Oz Redux”

Zooey Deschanel, little sister of “Bones” star Emily Deschanel, and the last woman on Earth after our fair planet was obliterated in “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” to make room for an intergalactic freeway, will be slipping on Dorothy’s slippers and Sunday dress for the Sci Fi Channel’s new mini-series “Tin Man”, their “re-imagining” (re: unnecessary slaughter) of “The Wizard of Oz”. She’ll be joining Alan Cumming, with shooting to start sometime in March for a December 2007 premiere. Gee, I can’t wait. Well, yes, I can. You know what I mean. Read on…

Latin Flavor: Sabrina Rojas

Brazil has pretty much had a stranglehold on the world of leggy supermodels, but there are a couple of countries vying for second place. One of them is fellow Latin American country Argentina, which has been pumping out the supermodels and models in general at a fast clip in recent years. One of them is boobalicious Sabrina Rojas, who has the face, the body — and yes, the boobs — to knock a couple of Brazilians down a peg or two. Here is some Sabrina Rojas to prove my point.

Milli Vanilli The Movie: Blame it on Hollywood?

The adventures of Rob and Fab (aka Robert Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan) will be coming to the big screen near you courtesy of the guy who wrote “Catch Me if You Can”, reports The AP. I can see how this would make a pretty good movie, although I think the only way they can tackle this is if they start the film off with the whole lip-syncing scandal having already broken, and how it effects the two men’s lives. One of them died of a drug overdose, no doubt due to having been ostracized in the aftermath of the scandal, and the other one has all but disappeared after a string of solo failures. What happened to them? How did they survive (and didn’t)? If the film answers those questions, and takes the whole thing seriously, this could actually be a very good movie.

Yes, Justine Bateman is Still Alive

So I was skipping through TVGuide.com when I ran across an article about Justine Bateman being on a new show called “Men in Trees”. Remember Justine Bateman? Very pretty but very dumb Mallory on “Family Ties”? Oh come on, if you grew up in the ’80s, you know damn well that you had a crush on Mallory Keaton. According to the TV Guide article, Justine landed the role on “Men in Trees” because she found herself on the same plane as the show’s creator. Wow. Whenever I end up on the same plane as a TV show creator, she calls the cops on me.

Ana Hickman Returns

Ana Hickman, or Ana Hickmann, is a Brazilian supermodel who landed at #47 and #85 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2004 and 2005. And get this, she’s an official entrant in the Guinness Book Of World Records for having the longest legs amongst the modeling breed. Well no kidding. The woman is 6′1″, which basically means she will never have a movie career, being taller than all her male co-stars and all. But hey, thank God for supermodeling! Anyways, here are more of her, long legs and all.

New “Grindhouse” Trailer Online

Another look at Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s pulp horror two-pack “Grindhouse” has shown up at Yahoo! Movies. Not sure if it’s particularly new, a lot of scenes you’ve already seen already, but I think there are a couple of new ones there. I don’t recall Bruce Willis being in the other trailers, but I could be wrong. I’m looking forward to the movie, but not so much that I’d get in line for it or anything. In fact, I’ll probably wait until it comes out on DVD. Anyways, it actually looks pretty damn good, so check it out at Yahoo! Movies. Click here for it.

Random Foreign Babe of the Day: Federica Fontana

Tall, leggy, blonde, and blue-eyed Italians don’t come around very often, but then again, neither does Federica Fontana. According to Wikipedia, our foreign babe of the day is a model and TV showgirl. I’m not exactly sure what a “TV showgirl” is, or what she does, but maybe it’s like the girls on “The Price is Right”. Maybe. Here’s some more info: “At 18, in 1995, she won second place as Miss Buona Domenica and third as Bellissima, participating as an assistant in La Sai l’Ultima?.” And you know how much I love my La Sai l’Ultima?. Um.

Gratuitous Anna Kournikova in a Bikini Posting

How long has it been since one of our completely gratuitous, indefensible posting of Anna K? Hmm, I can’t recall, which means it’s yet another posting of Anna K. in a two-piece bikini! Yes, ladies and gentlemen (but mostly the gentlemen, and you two or three ladies out there), it’s everyone’s favorite non-winning tennis babe getting her wet bikini on. There’s a guy in the picture, but I’ve done all I can to crop his ugly ass out. After all, when you’re concentrating on a completely unattainable fantasy, you don’t need some heavy facial hair dork getting in the way.

Aaron Eckhart Joins “The Dark Knight”

Actor Aaron Eckhart (”Thank You for Smoking”, “Paycheck”) joins Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight”, the sequel to “Batman Begins”. This is actually old news, as various Internet sources have been claiming this for a while now, but it’s only now that the studios have confirmed it via Variety. Eckhart would be playing Harvey Dent, a Gotham City District Attorney who ends up scarred and becomes a schizophrenic villain. The character was played twice already, once as a black man (played by Billy Dee Williams, Lando Calrissian himself) in the original “Batman”, then as a white man (played by Tommy Lee Jones) in one of Schmacher’s neon glitzy Batmans.

Keri Russell Gets Married in New York

“Former Felicity star Keri Russell married her longtime boyfriend, Shane Deary, in an intimate Valentine’s Day ceremony on Wednesday, her rep tells PEOPLE. Only a few close friends were in attendance for the wedding, which took place in New York during a snowstorm.” Well there goes another woman I’ve been not-so-secretly harboring obsessive tendencies towards. Oh well, it’s back to Stacy Keibler and Emmy Rossum.

Indie Queen Parker Posey Does TV

Parker Posey is such a good actress that you’re always shocked and curious when you see her slumming it in big-budget schlock like “Superman Returns” or “Blade: Trinity”. She’s mostly known for indie films, and you get the idea that Parker only does those big Hollywood movies to pay the bills, but if she had her way, she’d never go near them. Now it seems as if the unusual Parker Posey has done yet another unsual project: according to The Hollywood Reporter, she’s leaving the movies behind temporarily to give TV a shot with “The Return of Jezebel James” for FOX. It’s a comedy, and Parker is the star. Hmm, we don’t think it’s going to last, but it’ll be nice to see Parker on TV every week, no matter how short-lived.

Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver Among Cameron’s “Avatar” Cast

Via AICN, here’s news that James Cameron has settled on the cast of his new big-budget (and sure to be pioneering) sci-fi movie “Avatar”, and has already shot a couple for a couple of days in the jungle. Besides gorgeous Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver, the cast consists of Peter Mensah, Joel David Moore, C.C.H. Pounder, and Laz Alonso. The stars are Zoe Saldana and an Aussie bloke by the name of Sam Worthington, who no one has ever heard of outside of Australia, but that won’t remain true once “Avatar” hits screens Summer 2009. Yes, you’ll have to wait 2 years to see “Avatar”. Oh well, nothing good comes quickly, right?

“Battlestar Galactica” Gets a Fourth Season

Great news, fans of depressing sci-fi! The Sci Fi Channel announced recently that it has renewed the show for a fourth season, ordering 13 new episodes with an eye toward a January 2008 premiere. Apparently the show got a slight boost in ratings after moving to Sunday Nights from its usual Friday Night schedule. I don’t particular care all that much, but I do cherish the opportunity to see more Grace Park, Lucy Lawless, and Tricia Helfer on TV. Them’s nice lookin’ sci-fi chicks there, folks. Read all about it here.

Watch 3 Clips from “300″ Online

Zach Snyder’s “300″ doesn’t open until March 9, but you can check out three clips (about a minute each) from the movie that has been posted online at Moviefone. The three clips include: “King Leonidas gives the Persian emissary a taste of Spartan diplomacy. Xerxes is not going to like their response!”, “The Spartan ideal of ‘a beautiful death’ in battle is revealed as scouts first view Xerxes’ enormous army landing on Greek shores,” and “Queen Gorgo lends her strength to a grave King Leonidas in this tender scene.” Check out all three clips here.

Padma Lakshmi is Cooking

Padma Lakshmi is an actress, model, wife, cook book author, and astronaut. Okay, maybe not the astronaut part, but I wouldn’t put it pass her to go into outer space with some effort. Based out of New York, the American-Indian (that’s India, not Native American) Padma Lakshmi used to host the Food Network’s “Top Chef”, where people thought she indulged way too much in marjiuana. Hey, the woman can speak five friggin languages, I think she gets special privileges when it comes to the Mary Jane, don’t you think? Plus, she’s really hot.
