Political Heat: Kirsten Powers
Another reason to love the current Presidential coverage that’s all over the cable news networks is Democratic strategist and hottie blogger Kirsten Powers. And let’s face it, bloggers are rarely also hotties, but Kirsten Powers, with those luxurious blonde hair and twinkle in her eyes qualifies as both a hottie and a blogger. What you might not know about Powers is that she is originally from Alaska, and she once served in Bill Clinton’s Administration. How much you wanna bet that Bill was trying to tap that ass everytime she stepped into the same room with him? Not a whole lot of pictures of Kirsten Powers online, but some videos will have to do.
Latin Flavor: Jaslene Gonzalez
When you’re 6 feet tall and barely weigh over 90 pounds, what’s there left to do but become a model? (Okay, so Jaslene Gonzalez is not really 6 feet tall and 90 pounds, she’s more like 5′8″ and 110 pounds.) Such is the life and times of one Jaslene Gonzalez, our Latin Flavor of the day, and the winner of Cycle 8 of the TV reality show America’s Next Top Model, which claims that the winner will become, er, as the name implies, America’s next top model, but not really. Jaslene Gonzalez hails from Puerto Rico, which kinda makes her American, since I think we own that country or something. Now all Jaslene Gonzalez needs is a couple of more pounds and she’ll look even better. A woman shouldn’t be THIS bag-and-bones…
Random Supermodel of the Day: Mini Anden
Our Random Supermodel of the Day may be named Mini Anden, but there’s nothing mini about this Mini. Mini Anden hails from Sweden, where she also works as an actress and TV host (she emceed the Tyra Bank clone Scandinavia’s Next Top Model — yes, there really is such a thing), and in her spare time, she even did some TV producing work. Hey, who doesn’t? She’s done work for Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, BCBG, Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss and Gucci, and has been on the cover of and in the pages of Vogue, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitian and ELLE magazine. Basically, the girl has been around the world, and looks mighty fine doing it, too.
Miss CO-ED: USC’s Jennifer Winters
During my time in college, I’ve seen some fine, fine looking girls, but I have to admit, they never looked as good as Jennifer Winters, a University of California babe who is CO-ED Magazine’s Miss CO-ED for, uh, this week. Or maybe it’s a monthly thing. Who knows for sure. Jennifer Winters is a 20-year old USC senior (damn, when I was 20 I was barely — uh, nevermind), and she was born to have her bikini pictures taken while lounging about on the sunny California beach. Melanie Slade in Arena Magazine
I will admit that I have no idea who Melanie Slade is until I saw her in the latest issue of Arena Magazine. After a brief trip to Google, I found this about Melanie Slade (via): “Melanie Slade is the girlfriend of Arsenal footballer Theo Walcott. Melanie and Theo first met outside the shop where Mel worked at West Quay shopping mall in Southampton. Melanie was outside with a basket in her hand when Walcott’s friend announced “the basket is for phone numbers”. He scribbled his his mobile number on a scrap of paper and tossed it into Mel’s basket. Theo did the same. The romance had begun… Theo Walcott and Melanie Slade have been an item ever since!” Wow. Sports Babe of the Day: Anni Friesinger
Our Sports Babe of the Day is Anni Friesinger, a four-time Olympic Gold medalist in speed skating, who hails from Germany, which probably explains why Anni Friesinger has one smoking hot body, but a face that could, well, use some work. But hey, she’s an athlete, and although you wouldn’t exactly call her naturally beautiful, that body could definitely go for days on end and never get tired, especially considering that she’s a speed skater, and those gals know how to get started fast and hard and keep going and going and going… Um, I need a cold shower. Brit Babe Invasion: Lucy Brown
Our Brit Babe for the day is one Lucy Brown, who is not nearly as well-known for her looks as her Primeval co-star, Hannah Spearritt, whose last name is so gosh darn hard to spell that I have to look it up each time to make sure I got it right. The show, incidentally, is about a group of people trying to stop an invasion by creatures from the past. Or something like that. I’ve never actually seen it, but I plan to as soon as the show reaches U.S. soil. If it ever does, that is, cause I always love this type of show anyways, and add a dash of Lucy Brown to the cast, and I’m definitely giving Primeval a shot once it lands in the States.
Kaley Cuoco Bikini Picture from Men’s Health
The gorgeous Kaley Cuoco (formerly of Charmed, during its last season) is in the current issue of Men’s Health magazine (wearing nothing but an itty bitty two-piece bikini, at that, thus making every men’s dreams come true), where she says this: “If you have a rescued dog with you and are reading The Bark — forget it, I’ll marry you right there.” Which leads me to this confession: I spend all my time rescuing dogs and reading The Bark. Kirsten Haglund is Miss America 2008
In case you missed it (and come on, who actually watches this thing anymore?), but Miss Michigan Kirsten Haglund was crowned Miss America for 2008. The competition was actually shown live on the TLC network. Yes, that’s right, the Miss America pageant has become so unpopular in America that they’ve now been forced to show the pageant on a basic cable channel. Sigh. Remember when people actually cared about the pageant? Oh well. Here are some pictures of the former Miss Michigan and current Miss America for 2008, Kirsten Haglund. Really, what other reason is there to watch the upcoming comedy “Fool’s Gold” besides the fact that Kate Hudson, God bless her soul, shows off that perfect, ab-tastic body of hers in a two-piece bikini for a number of scenes? If you don’t believe me, take a look at these pictures from the movie, and behold the glorious wonders of Kate Hudson in a bikini. Heck, she’s so hot, that even the picture of her without a bikini still looks good. And oh yeah, the movie also stars some dude name Matthew and they’re chasing around islands for gold or something. Um. Kate Hudson + bikini = Nuff said.
Carmen Electra in Meet the Spartans
Let’s face it: the trailer for the new parody movie “Meet the Spartans”, er, really, really sucks. As in, “This thing is going to suck so hard, people on Mars are gonna hear the sound of the sucking”. I’m serious, the trailer for “Meet the Spartans” looks just Godawful. There are a couple of nice gags, all of them involving Nicole Parker from MADTV doing Britney Spears, but the rest of the movie — dear God, even that “You Got Served” skit? Quite possibly some of the most unfunny thing I’ve ever seen being called comedy. But hey, it co-stars Carmen Electra, and God willing, she’ll get just as nude (or more, if the Gods are smiling) than Lena Headey did in “300″. Don’t let us down, moviemakers!
Far Cry 2 Teaser Trailer
It’s been a while since I played the “Far Cry” first-person shooter (what has it been, 2 years? More?), but I do distinctively remember that I loved the hell out of it. There was a lot of running, gunning, boating, and driving to be had, and it was a ball. The graphics were fantastic, the bullet effects were outstanding, and generally speaking, I had a blast from beginning to end, and found myself playing it for hours and days on end. “Far Cry 2″ takes the game to Africa somewhere, and while this teaser trailer doesn’t show a whole lot — okay, it doesn’t show anything, actually — it still got me pumped for the game’s eventual release. Kim Kardashian Models some Bikinis
Say what you will about Kim Kardashian, and yes, a lot of people have said lots about her (she’s not really a celebrity, she actually released her own sex tape for attention, blah blah blah), but you gotta admit, aren’t you kind of glad she did all those things to get famous, if it means we get to see her modeling two-piece bikinis like these? I know I am! Hey, look, this is America, man, and anyone and everyone has the right to do whatever they can to be famous, even if it means being famous for absolutely no reason. God bless Kim Kardashian and her rack.
Kimberly Caldwell Keeps Getting Hotter
Of all the former American Idol girls, especially the ones from the original first season, I have to say that Kimberly Caldwell has stayed the hottest throughout the years. She’s currently doing TV work on the TV Guide channel, and every now and then she shows off those pipes. The last time I saw her was when she sang at the Houston-Buccaneers game in December 2007, when she sang (and fantastically, I might add) the National Anthem before the game. I was surprised it was Kimberly Caldwell, actually, since I don’t recall her voice being that husky, but wow, fantastic performance from a fantastic babe.
Tom Cruise on Scientology; South Park Rebuttal
You know, I’ve heard and seen snippets from this Scientology video where Tom Cruise talks about his Scientology belief, and how great it is, and how they (Scientologists) should rule the world (or something like that). It’s pretty creepy, mostly because Tom Cruise is sooooooo damn into it, he’s bought it hook, line, and sinker. According to Tom, Scientology is the authority on basically everything ever invented in the whole wide world. Seriously, he’s saying all this stuff in the video. I shit you not. And just for fun, I’ve also added the infamous South Park episode that makes fun of Scientology. Best…episode…EVER.
Another Reason to Watch Wrestling: Candice Michelle
Come on, who doesn’t like wrasslin’? I remember when I was a kid I used to watch wrestling and actually believed it was all true. No, really, I was really gullible as a kid, but then again, weren’t we all? We believed everything TV told us, because TV knows all and would never lie to us. Of course now we know better; TV only tells us the whole truth on Mondays, but never on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and sometimes on Thursdays and Fridays. On Saturdays and Sundays, it’s very iffy. But I digress. If you ever wanted another excuse to watch wrestling without being embarrassed, just tell them: Candice Michelle is hot. And if they don’t agree with you, point them to this post.
Canadian Goodness with Chantal Kreviazuk
You know me, I’m always on the look out for a new, fresh voice to add to my collection of, er, new, fresh voices. And Canada seems like a good enough place to look, which is where I found Canadian songwriter/singer Chantal Kreviazuk. She kind of looks like actress Lena Headey, but, er, slightly more Canadian. Her music sounds a little bit like pop and folk to me, but definitely not alternative. Not content to just sing, in 2007 she starred in “Pretty Broken”, a short film about a woman dealing with mental illness that she wrote and co-produced.
Odette Yustman at the Cloverfield Premiere
I have yet to see J.J. Abrams’ “Cloverfield”. Why? Because monster movies scare me, what with all the monsters and whatnot running around eating people. You know, eating people is not a good thing, people, not at all. Anyhoo. Here’s one of “Cloverfield’s” stars, Odette Yustman, at the premiere of her movie. Word is, the cast of “Cloverfield” was cast because they were unknown actors, but take a look at Odette Yustman at the premiere of her movie, and tell me she doesn’t look like a mega movie starlet in the making. Great cheek bones, great body, and I haven’t seen someone shine like that at a red carpet movie premiere in a long while.
More Latin Flavor with Julieta Prandi
In an encore of our Latin Flavor of the day is Julieta Prandi, an Argentinian model and TV person, and yes, a very hot bikini model. She hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina, although she has a number of TV credits in IMDB.com, I would be hardpressed to tell you if those are actual TV roles or appearances where she jumps out of a cake in a two-piece bikini to shock some poor schlub into an early heart attack because, you know, that’s the kind of thing that happens in Argentinian TV. Then again, I could have just been hallucinating when I came to that conclusion, so who knows. Check her out and enjoy.
Bollywood’s Kim Sharma in Maxim
It’s not like I spend a whole lot of time watching Bollywood movies, so of course I had no idea who Kim Sharma was until I saw her on the cover and in the pages of this foreign edition of Maxim Magazine. She looks good and all that, but let’s go back to Bollywood movies. I’ve actually seen a half dozen Bollywood movies or so throughout the years, but I just never could get the whole “break out into song and dance” gag. I mean, dude, what’s the deal with that? They do that in horror movies, too! That’s just weird, man, too weird for me. But Kim Sharma? There’s nothing weird about her — just hotness.
