Because You Demanded it: Larry the Cable Guy has a Movie Career
I don’t have anything against the Blue Collar Comedy guys (in fact, I’ve seen two of their comedy shows, and I’ve even seen an episode or two of their TV show), but that Larry the Cable Guy guy is just a major dumbass. I mean, come on, folks, how many fart and scatological jokes can you stand in 30 minutes? This guy throws them out there (no pun intended) like they’re going out of business. It’s funny once or twice, but again and again? Anyways, apparently there is enough of you who thinks Larry the Cable Guy is funny, because the guy now has a movie career. And here I thought “Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector” would be enough for one decade.
Coming off the heels of “Health Inspector”, Larry the Cable Guy (does this guy sell cables or something? maybe he just really likes watching cable) has two movies in the works, “Delta Farce” and “Witless Protection”. At least the guy has the sense of humor to make fun of his own movie titles. That’s something, I guess.
“Witless Protection” is currently shooting, and stars Larry as a small-time Sheriff who rescues a woman in Witness Protection being pursued by bad guys. It co-stars Ivana Milicevic, Yaphet Kotto, Peter Stormare, Joe Mantegna and Eric Roberts. Meanwhile, “Delta Farce”, where Larry plays a soldier who mistakes Mexico for Iraq, is due soon. That one’s due out May 11th, 2007.
