Amber Tamblyn Walks with the Dead in “Babylon Fields”
I love me a zombie movie, so the idea of a zombie TV show just gets me all a’fluttered — but in a good way. Here’s news from Fangoria that “Grudge” star Amber Tamblyn will be headlining the TV series “Babylon Fields”, about “a young woman affected by a phenomenon during which the dead rise to resume their normal lives” — whatever the hell that means. IMDB.com has a better plot premise: “The dead return to earth in an attempt to restore old wounds.” Yeah, that makes more sense. Amber Tamblyn isn’t exactly new to TV. She was the star of the critically acclaimed (but barely seen) series “Joan of Arcadia”, about a woman who talks to God. So basically Tamblyn is going from a series about God to one about the undead. Sounds like logical progression to me!
Hollywood Babes Love to Hold a “Grudge 2″
Who knew a scary ass Japanese mom and her equally scary ass kid could be so popular? Apparently the Japanese knew, because before “The Grudge” came to America, it was a Japanese horror franchise. Thanks to Sam Raimi, who knows a thing or two about cool horror franchises, “The Grudge” has now been Americanized (don’t get your panties into a bunch, the original Japanese creator/director is doing the remakes himself), which leads to Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nikki Griffin, Amber Tamblyn, Arielle Kebbel, Eva LaRue, and Kristen Bell braving the horrors to attend the premiere. Those brave, brave girls.
