CRANK 2? Only if Amy Smart Comes Back.
This is actually old news (the filmmakers behind the 2006 Jason Statham movie “Crank” are talking about making a sequel), but I didn’t see “Crank” until a while ago, and I have to say, Yeah, I’d go for a sequel but ONLY if Amy Smart’s character comes back and, possibly, takes over the lead. I mean, after all, Statham’s character was last seen falling out of an airplane WITHOUT a parachute, so it wouldn’t make sense for him to come back for the sequel. Unless he was playing his character’s evil brother or doppelganger or something equally cliche. Below are some reasons why only Amy Smart is necessary for “Crank 2″.

One of the more intriguing TV shows to hit the airwaves this year seems to be the CBS crime show “Smith”, starring Ray Liotta as a criminal mastermind who is top dog on a crew that pulls daring thefts. One of Liotta’s people is played by Amy Smart, who is also in the movie “Crank” with Jason Statham. In the show Smart plays a master of disguise or somesuch. In any case, the previews look good, and I’m looking forward to this one. Hey, it can’t be any worst than all that Tina Fey and Matthew Perry crap NBC is trying to jam down our throats, right?
Amy Smart Gets Me “Crank”-ed
If you’ve seen previews for the new action movie “Crank”, you might have noticed a hot blonde number among all the running, gunning, and shirtless Jason Statham shots. Her name is Amy Smart, and she’s been in a ton of movies you’ve never heard of, or noticed that she was in them. It’s doubtful if Amy’s role in “Crank” will be a break-through performance, as the focus is purely on action and Statham, but maybe her role as a sexy seductress mistress of disguise in the TV crime show “Smith” will do it.
