If Australian hottie Anna Torv is still not a known name in your household yet, a second season of her Fox show Fringe should just about do it. And if it still doesn’t, well, then your household just watches crappy TV shows. Anna Torv is the star of Fringe, one of those X-Files type shows, except where it took Gillian Anderson a few years to grow on me, Anna Torv pretty much did it from the first episode. I dunno, there’s just something so sexy about her. No wonder Abrams cast her out of thousands of girls. Dude knows a star in the making when he sees one. And so do we.

It’s funny, but despite having J.J. Abrams’ name attach to the project, I’m really not hearing all that much about FOX’s new X-Files-wannabe show, Fringe. The show stars Australian actress Anna Torv in her American debut, and I’m not sure if it’ll do very good business in terms of viewership. I’m just not hearing a whole lot of stuff about the show, or at least, not as much as I’m hearing about Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse, for instance. But hey, no one heard about Alias before it came on the air, either, and that went on for a pretty long time. Maybe it’ll happen to Fringe, too. Here are some promos from the show with its female lead, Anna Torv.

Unless you’re an avid Australian TV watcher, then you have no idea who Anna Torv is, but that’s going to change when J.J. Abrams’ new TV show Fringe hits the air sometime this year. Why? Because Abrams has tapped the mostly unknown Anna Torv to star as the female lead in Fringe, which means she’ll be getting the Jennifer Garner, Evangeline Lilly, and Keri Russell treatment very soon — all three women were nobodies until Abrams casted them as the female leads in his shows, and now they’re more famous than Jesus Christ. Well, probably not, since JC is pretty famous, but you know what I mean. Check out some Anna Torv. Yeah, I gotta say, she has a certain Evangeline Lilly/Jennifer Garner thing going on there…
