Brit Babe Invasion: Emily Booth
When you need to be introduced to a new person, what better way to do so when they’re wearing little more than a two-piece bikini or bra and panties? Such is our introduction to today’s Brit Babe Invasion girl, Emily Booth, or as she’s sometimes known by her stage name, Emily “Bouff” Bouffante. Heh. Bouffante. Funny. Hey. According to Wikipedia, her favorite films include “Cat People”, and her favorite drinks are tea, champagne and vodka. She’s a kickboxer, so watch out, guys. She used to collect pencils, which is just really weird, and she doesn’t like ice-cream headaches and phone-in shows that con money from decent but gullible people. Personally I’m all for phone-in shows that con money from decent but gullible people. I mean, come on, if they’re gullible, they deserve to be con. Right?

Our Brit Babe of the day is Dannielle Brent, a former “Hollyoaks” girl who turned bad. As in, “Bad Girls”. Yes, that’s right. She went from “Hollyoaks” to playing Natalie Buxton on “Bad Girls”, which I hear is very, er, bad. Okay, so I’ve never seen either shows, but I hear it’s very good. Or sexy. Or maybe both. Whatever the case, it must be very good, because according to IMDB.com, they even had a Christmas Special, and come on, you don’t give Christmas Specials to just about any show. Heck, even Star Wars had a Christmas Special, and it sucked. Wait, what was I saying? Oh right, here’s Dannielle Brent.

So I was catching up to the first season of Britain’s Got Talent, the, well, British version of America’s Got Talent. Besides having Simon Cowell as one of their judges, the British version of the show also has Amanda Holden as the token babelicious judge. And what a babelicious judge she is! Since I knew nothing about Amanda, I had to do some research. And of course by “research” I mean I googled her name, and came up with some info, as well as some pictures of the lovely blond Brit. She’s a TV star, and has been on “EastEnders” (where she played Carmen), although I don’t know if she returns as a judge on the second season of Britain’s Got Talent. If they’ll smart, they’ll bring her back. I ain’t watching without Amanda.

Let me introduce you to Amelia Warner, the next big thing out of Liverpool, England. You might not know her name now, but you probably have seen her in some Hollywood movies, but just didn’t realize you should have paid more attention. She was the best thing about that Godawful “Aeon Flux”, and she can soon be seen in the big-budget movie version of “The Dark is Rising”, where she’ll play Maggie Barnes. And here’s a trivia: What does Amelia Warner, soon to be the next big British movie star, have in common with Paris Hilton? They co-starred in the 2002 horror movie “Nine Lives”! In Amelia’s defense, her role in that movie was very small, and, um, well, let’s not talk more about that one.

You gotta love the Brits. Only they could come up with a name like “Romola” for their daughter. See, an American couple coudl NEVER come up with something like that. The most creative an American mom and dad could do is name their kid a generic name, but spell it differently in a pathetic attempt to be different. It’s pathetic, really. Wait, where was I? Oh, right, our Brit Babe Invasion of the day is Romola Garai, who I first saw in 2003’s “I Capture the Castle” with another favorite of mine, Rose Byrne. You can see Romola in 2007’s “Atonement” with Keira Knightley very soon.

The Brits already know who Naomi Millbank-Smith is, but for the rest of us, she’s a young hot thing who participated on the Reality TV Show “Shipwrecked: Battle of the Islands” on Channel 4 in the UK. It’s an island-set contest between a group of men and women, and the winners got a nice cash prize. Naomi’s group, the all-female Sharks, were the losers, which once again reminds everyone that men are superior! Yeahh!!!!! But I digress. Here’s Naomi Millbank-Smith. So who is our Brit Babe Invasion for the day, and why should you care? Well her name is Amanda Harrington, and she looks all kinds of fine in a bikini, but why should you care? There actually is no reason why you should care, per se. It’s not like we’re talking End of the World or Word Peace here. Unless, of course, your definition of Word Peace involves a hot babe from Liverpool frolicking about (and looking damn good doing it) in a two-piece bikini, in which case Amanda Harrington is very worth your time. And if not — um, nevermind?

While it’s true that Maui Taylor is mostly known as a Filipino actress, model, and singer in the Philippines, but she was born and raised in England, so I’m putting her in the Brit Babe Invasion category. That, and because I don’t want to create an additional category, cause that takes time and brain cells, and I don’t have much of neither. So there. Anyways, Maui Taylor was born in Brighton, East Sussex, England and was raised there until the age of six, and is the youngest of four children. She’s also kinda hot.

The British Soap Awards were recently held, and it was Brit Babes galore, which kinda makes sense since, well, it’s for British folks. But anyways, present were some of our favs, including but not limited to: Gemma Atkinson, Kate Ford, Roxanne McKee, Lacey Turner, Ali Bastian, Helen Flanagan, Nikki Sanderson, Fearne Cotton, and Roxanne Pallett. Now THIS is one British Invasion Americans can get with. Well, the guys, anyway…

It’s Jayne Middlemiss, a glamour model turned TV presenter who hails from Northumberland, England. She’s done hosting duties for “The O-Zone”, “Top of the Pops”, and has appeared on the celebrity version of the Reality TV show “Celebrity Love Island”. British babe Konnie Huq (her last name is pronounced “Huck”, so don’t be doing any “I wanna hug Konnie” jokes, ya bums) was born and raised in Ealing, London, but her parents are Indians from Bangladesh (thus the East Asian looks, in case you were wondering). Currently, Huq co-hosts the BBC children’s television show “Blue Peter”, which makes you glad the Brits don’t think of the word “Peter” the way we Americans do, otherwise there are some producers out there with a lot of ’splainin to do. Maybe it’s just me, but Asian chicks with British accents are just so damn sexy.

Crikey, Tamsin Egerton is one leggy British babe. Usually you don’t them to come with long legs attached; oh sure, Keira Knightley has some legs on her, but she’s also unfathomably skinny, so those legs don’t look quite as good. Tamsin Egerton looks to be a very healthy lass, so the legs are a lot more impressive. Then again, maybe it’s just the way she looks in that white short skirt. Yikes. (She stands 5′10″, by the way.) Where might you have seen Tasmin? She was in “The Mists of Avalon” and had a role in “Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Silk Stocking”, where Watson tries to determine if his boss is going undercover as a street walker, or if he’s just a freaky cross dresser.

Leave it to the British to go from being a part of a girl band to getting into modeling. Mind you, not that I’m complaining, because I think Sarah Harding looks a lot better than she sings. Then again, I’ve never heard her or her fellow Girls Aloud bandmates sing, so maybe I’m just talking about of my ass. Anyways, Sarah Harding is quite a lovely lass rather in lingerie or bikini, and no surprise that she’s been linked to a host of famous British men, any one of them would be lucky to hit this at night.

Alison King is best known to Brit TV viewers as Carla Conno on “Coronation Street”, but I know her as the leather-clad Lara Croft twin sister on the direct-to-DVD German action movie “Final Contract: Death on Delivery”, about an American teen who runs afoul of a world-class assassin (King) and is forced to kill some states witness types in Germany. A lot of car crashes and chases later Alison King is the only person I remember from the movie. She was that memorable.

The English churn out lingerie and glamour models like nobody’s business, and thank God they’re working so hard at it. Our latest find from the land of fog and Union Jack is one Sophie Anderton, a model who has dabbled in TV work with appearances on shows like “I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here”. And really, how did we ever get by without “I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here”? I shutter to think. Besides “Celebrity”, our looks-great-in-underwear gal has taken part in the Reality shows “Love Island”, a celebrity edition of “Fear Factor” (the UK version, not the one hosted by Joe Rogan), and is currently starring in my fantasies, in which she’s getting rave reviews. Simon Cowell is pretty unbearable just watching the douche on TV, but imagine having to work for the punkass. That’s the situation our Brit Babe of the day Kate Thornton had to deal with on the UK’s Reality Competition show “The X-Factor”. That is, before she got axed by the brutally mean Cowell, who fired Thornton and a judge from the show. Which means UK fans will no longer have an attractive, bubbly blonde to drool over during segments of “The X-Factor”. Bummer. So here’s what we have of Kate Thornton. Ain’t she cute?

Anna Friel first came to my attention playing Lady Claire in the crappy sci-fi movie “Timeline” (which really is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen, and I love time travel movies), and then later she starred in “Goal! 2: Living the Dream…” because, one presumes, just one “Goal!” (exclamation mark necessary) wasn’t enough for the world. But hey, who am I complaining. We got to see more of Anna Friel, who hails from Rochdale, Greater Manchester, which I’m told is greater than Lesser Manchester. Um, yeah. Here’s Anna Friel.

I will admit to never having seen an actual episode of the UK soap “Hollyoaks”, but I’ll be damn if I’ve become a major fan of it nevertheless. And hey, if the girls on that show look this good in their skivvies (which, I’m guessing, they are in a lot, if these girls are this familiar with having very little clothes on in all the photoshoots of them I’ve seen), then no wonder that show is so popular. Tiffany Mulheron played “Natalie Osborne” on the show from 2003 to 2004, and seems to have left TV for the movies, with “Namastey London” and “Daylight Robbery” coming in 2007.
