“Women in Trouble” is an ensemble chick comedy. I would really, really like to see this ensemble chick comedy.

In a few short years Carla Gugino will be 40, and you know what? She’ll still be hotter and sexier than 90% of the Hollywood actresses that are currently called “sexy” today. Forget about your Jessica Alba or your Megan Fox. Sure, they look good NOW, and they’ve certainly been skating on their youth and good looks, but wait another five or ten years. They just don’t have that something that makes them naturally hot like Carla Gugino. I don’t know what it is about Carla, maybe it’s the name. Gugino. Come on, that just sounds hot, am I right? Anyways, here’s Carla Gugino in the recent issue of Details Magazine. Needless to say, I’m swapping these with bigger versions when they hit the net.

In the latest issue of Women’s Health Magazine, Carla Gugino tells women you have to embrace your body. We agree with Carla, we would love for women to embrace their bodies, and to let us help them in the embracing. Two is better than one, am I right? Anyhoo. In the issue, Carla Gugino shares the issue with her “Watchmen” co-star Malin Akerman, who gets the cover. Now, Malin may be younger, and in the movie, Carla plays her mother, but you know what? Side by side, Malin’s got nothing on Carla Gugino. Then again, I’m a sucker for a Carla picture, but can you blame me? I have good taste.

If you’re a comic book geek, I don’t need to tell you what movie you’re going to be looking forward to in 2009. Yup. I’m talking about Zack Snyder’s “Watchmen” movie, based on the comic book series by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. By now you’ve probably already seen the trailer for the movie and been blown away. But in case you haven’t, check out Carla Gugino and Malin Akerman, both women playing Silk Spectre (I and II, of course). They’re mother and daughter, and I’ll tell you what, give me Carla Gugino anyday! Yeah, even with that Godawful haircut. What the hell do you call that thing, anyway? Check them out from the movie. Who watches the Watchmen? Me, all night long, too, as long as its the Silk Spectre!

If you’re like me (that is, always on the lookout for hot chicks), then I think you’ll agree that you can never enough of Carla Gugino. And Carla Gugino in a red dress? That’s like dying and going to Heaven, then finding out that Heaven is actually Carla Gugino’s bedroom. Here’s Carla somewhere doing something recently looking smoking as usual. I’m telling you, why this woman isn’t a bigger movie star is a mystery to me. But maybe her stint as a ball-busting agent in Entourage will change all that. One can only hope, because I’d sure like to see more of Carla on the big screen doing the sexy thing.

Carla Gugino as a blonde is not my cup of tea. One thing Carla has always been is a spicy number: the dark hair just works better on some people, and looks so awful on others. It looks pretty awful on Carla now, here attending the Tony Awards, aka the Awards Show No One Watches who isn’t a gay guy or a girl. Go back to brunette, Carla! The blonde look is killing your hotness!

Lucy Liu’s “Rise” has been around forever, and I’ve only heard sporadic information about it. It’s almost as if the studio is trying to purposefully bury it, which might just be what they’re going to do. The film is being listed as getting a limited release on June 1st, 2007, but I’ll be shock if I see any ads for this as it misses a theater near me. Then again, I could be wrong. Anyways, the movie has since been retitled “Rise: Blood Hunter”, and it’s got a new poster. But if you look at the poster, it sure looks a lot like Kate Beckinsale’s “Underworld: Evolution” movie poster. They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery; in the movie business, movie poster imitation is just a lame attempt to trick Blockbuster renters to pick up your movie.

Okay, so as it turns out, David Goyer may have left the Flash movie, but that doesn’t mean it’s dead. According to The Hollywood Reporter via here, Warner Brothers has just appointed Shawn Levy, whose last movie was the mega hit “Night at the Museum” with Ben Stiller, to direct the upcoming movie. Before he hit it big with “Museum”, Levy did “Cheaper by the Dozen” and “The Pink Panther”, which would lead you to believe “The Flash” might end up a campy superhero flick. Not so, says the article. While the movie won’t be a campy comedy, it also won’t be as dark as Goyer had wanted it. Apparently Goyer wanted a “dark-themed” Flash movie. Too dark for Warner.

I’ve been hearing about the vampire movie “Rise” for a while now, but hasn’t seen (nor has anybody else, it seems) hide or hair of it since, well, ever. The movie stars Lucy Liu as a reporter who gets herself killed, becomes a vampire, and goes after the vampires who turned her. Carla Gugino, who made the flick before hopping onto her short-lived CBS show “Threshold”, has said she thinks the movie will come out soon. She has no idea what the hold-up is, but it should be out soon. Probably. In the film, Carla will play “a vampire femme fatale named Eve… So that part is very dark and sexual and interesting.” Oooh, now I really want to see this movie. But of course it’s gonna suck; movies don’t take this long to come out if it’s any good. It’s a Movie Rule or somethin’.

The greatest movie nobody has ever seen, “Snakes on a Plane”, opens today, and the Hollywood babes are out in force to attend the premiere. Battling with snakes, Samuel L. Jackson, and a horde of Internet fanboys for a seat were: Annabella Sciorra, Carla Gugino, Elsa Pataky, Sunny Mabrey, Rachel Blanchard, Julianna Margulies, and of course, though he’s no babe, he’s definitely a motherphuckin’ badass, Samuel L. Jackson. (Curiously, there weren’t any live snakes at the premiere; but then again, I’m sure they ushered all the agents in first because, frankly, agents, like snakes, scare children.)
