You may know her as all-American hero Jack Bauer’s daughter on 24, but Elisha Cuthbert is more Canadian than she is American. Okay, so she’s not American at all, she’s a Canadian playing an American on TV. They call that acting, apparently. Here’s the 24 hottie on the red carpet of the 12th Annual Canada’s Walk of Fame inductee ceremony in Toronto, then later, standing with a female Mountie. She’s a famous Canadian, but apparently not famous enough yet to get inducted into the Walk of Fame. I hear inductees get free moose meat for a year. That’s what I heard, anyway.

Hard to believe now, but there actually was a time when Elisha Cuthbert was supposed to be the next big thing in Hollywood. She was coming off a hit TV show, and that movie career was starting to look good with hits like “The Girl Next Door”. Then, er, not much. She did the horror flick “Captivity”, which basically got lost in controversy and just the fact that no one saw it. And now she’s, well, I have no idea. I think the best thing for Elisha Cuthbert’s career right now is to make a decent appearance on 24 again, just to prove she’s still alive. But regardless of how her career is going, we still think Elisha Cuthbert is pretty damn hot stuff, and this latest appearance in Complex Magazine proves it.

If you don’t know who Sean Avery is, then you either don’t watch NHL hockey (you know, that sport where grown men slide around in skates on ice with a stick and hit each other over the head with said sticks? no, no, not the one with the girly men and their wacky tricks, but the other thing with skates and ice), because Sean Avery has been all over the news after going on public TV and calling Elisha Cuthbert and Rachel Hunter, two of his former girlfriends who are now dating other men, “sloppy seconds”. Now a lot of people are hating on my man Sean Avery, but I ain’t one of them. In fact, I’m such a big fan of Sean Avery, that I would like to invite him to send me some of his future sloppy seconds. As long as, you know, they look like the two women below.

Of course, acting alongside Paris Hilton, aka the Movie Career Killer, didn’t exactly help, but we’re going to ignore that because, gosh dang it, we really like Elisha Cuthbert, and want her to resurrect her movie career, if only because we’re hoping to see something like this on the big screen very soon. I know what you’re thinking: “Gee, I wonder who is the sexiest woman of 2008?” Well since you asked so nicely, the guys at FHM went and did a poll, and the winner is Megan Fox. See? And people say I don’t provide anything worthwhile on the site that you could use in, like, daily work conversations or what have you. So if Fox is first, who are the rest of the sexiest best? Jessica Biel came in at #2, followed by last year’s winner, Jessica Alba. Elisha Cuthbert and Scarlett Johansson brings up the rear at #4 and #5, respectively.

Canadian actress Elisha Cuthbert hasn’t even been around that long, but it sure seems like her time has come and gone, and she didn’t really make the most of it when she was one of the hottest things in Hollywood. Of course, doing movies with Paris Hilton didn’t help matters, but you sort of expected more from Elisha Cuthbert’s movie career than what it has been so far. She’s got a couple of new movies coming out, but is it too late? Who knows. Here’s Elisha Cuthbert in the latest issue of Maxim Magazine, looking all good and what not. Or maybe the movie career just ain’t going so hot lately, which may be why former 24 star Elisha Cuthbert is attempting to re-ply her trade back on TVland, in a new drama for CBS called “Ny-lon”. The premise of the show: “Ny-Lon centers on Edie (Cuthbert), a New York literacy teacher/record store clerk, and Michael, a London stock broker, who embark on a cross-continental romance.” Better not give up on that movie career, Elisha, this show looks like it has the makings of a one-and-outer — that is, one season in, and see ya. But hey, she can still hang out with Paris Hilton, right? I hear they’re BFF now.

Elisha Cuthbert has what I call Jennifer Love Hewitt Syndrome: the girl looks good in all her movies, but catch her in some candid moments, and she looks less than appealing. I don’t know if that haircut she’s sporting is for a movie or not (God, I hope so), but the weird colored two piece bikini is less than thrilling. Plus, the giant sunglasses. God, I hate those giant sunglasses. Why do pretty celebrities insist on wearing those damn giant sunglasses? I swear, I want to punch whoever invented that. Anyhoo. Elisha Cuthbert is at the beach not liking that pictures of her are being snapped, if that picture with her giving the camera the middle bird salute is any indication.

So what the heck has Elisha Cuthbert been doing since she abandoned 24 for the movies? Well, there were a couple of major bombs like The Girl Next Door, House of Wax, and more recently, Captivity, which despite a ton of free publicity for its controversial advertising campaign and scenes, bombed harder than Martin Sheen at an NRA convention. But that won’t stop us from featuring the lovely Ms. Elisha Cuthbert in our Celebrity Cleavage column, because let’s face it, if the girl can do something right, it’s hypnotize with that rack. Get it? The title of this post has the word “Captivating” in it because Elisha Cuthbert is coming out with a new movie called “Captivity”. Oh whatever. I’m way too funny for you guys. Anyhoo, it’s been a while since we last posted some gratuitous Elisha Cuthbert pictures, and really, we hate ourself for it. So here are some new (at least to us) Elisha Cuthbert sporting really big hair. I don’t know what’s up with the ’80s hair (what is she, Dolly Parton or something?), but you know, the girl still rocks, and I’m dying to see her new movie. If people are getting disturbed by it and threatening to ban it, it’s gotta be good, right? Then again, that was my reasoning to go see “Norbit”, and that didn’t turn out so good…

Usually when a movie launches a controversy, it’s a good thing — at least for the bottom line. But for some reason I don’t think that’s the case with the new Elisha Cuthbert thriller “Captivity”, which got in a ruckus when the producers had to pull a billboard of the movie for being “too disturbing”. Anyways, “Captivity” finally gets a trailer. In the film, a fashion model (Cuthbert) and a chauffeur are kidnapped and held hostage in a small room by a serial killer. While the madman methodically terrorizes them, the victims draw strength from each other and fall in love.

Not a long ago, I posted about how an advertising billboard for the new Elisha Cuthbert thriller “Captivity” has been banned from New York and L.A. (read it here) when people complained that it was too disturbing. For those who were wondering what the billboard looked like, someone snapped a picture of it and thanks to Casey Jones who emailed it to me. See the banned “Captivity” billboard below and judge for yourself rather it is disturbing enough to ban. Personally I think it’s kind of blah and not worth getting one’s panties into a-twitter over, but hey, what do I know, I think “Two and a Half Men” is a crime against TV, and it seems pretty popular.

This story once again confirms my theory that Los Angeles and New York people are actually wimps. (Via Reuters) In the wake of a public outcry against Los Angeles billboards and New York taxicab tops advertising the upcoming movie “Captivity” with images of the abduction, torture and death of a young woman, the film’s producer said it will take down the offending ads Tuesday. The billboards, first posted March 13, feature four frames with captions above each one. “Abduction” shows Cuthbert with a gloved hand over her face; “Confinement” features the actress behind a chain-link fence with a bloody finger poking through; “Torture” depicts Cuthbert’s face, covered in white gauze, with tubes shoved up her nose; and “Termination” shows her with her head thrown back, seemingly dead.

We can’t help but notice that Fox’s “24″ has kinda sucked lately. Oh sure, they actually dared to nuke L.A. and killed 12,000 people and whatnot, but the show is still kind of just reading water right now. What it needs to give it that extra oomph is the return of Kim Bauer, aka Elisha Cuthbert. I mean come on, they killed off Reiko Aylesworth, Kim Raver is nowhere to be found, and God knows we all miss Miss Nasty herself, Nina Myers. So what’s the next best thing? The return of Elisha Cuthbert!

Asian movie fans might want to cover their ears for this, but here are some set pictures of Elisha Cuthbert (and co-star Jesse Bradford) on the New York set of “My Sassy Girl”, the American remake of the insanely popular South Korean romantic comedy of the same name from 2001. The original made an international star out of actress Ji-hyun Jun, but apparently she still isn’t popular enough to star in the American version. In her place is Elisha Cuthbert of “24″ fame. So what’s it about? “A sweet Midwestern guy (Bradford) with his life planned out for himself is wooed, groomed, and ultimately dumped by a complicated, elusive gal (Cuthbert).”

Jack is back, and he’s going to kick your ass. Or, at least, he’s going to kick your ass if you’re a no-good scumbaggy terrorists bent on destroying America and somesuch. If you aren’t, then well, you’re probably okay. Maybe. And oh yeah, check out who is the new President of the United States in Day 6 — yup, that’s a Palmer in the Oval Office, but it ain’t the Palmer we’re used to. Looks like little bro needs to get his act together if this Season 6 trailer is any indication.

…is like Jack Bauer without his gun. It just ain’t right! As of right now there is no word from the producers if Elisha Cuthbert will bring Kim Bauer back for Season 6 of Fox’s wildly popular action-adventure series “24″, but if they’re doing their job, they’ll find some way to fandangle her back into the fold. I mean, her dad was abducted by those bastard Red Chinese at the end of Season 5, so you gotta figure they’d find a way to bring her back to nurse Jack back to health or something. In any case, here are some reasons why Elisha Cuthbert needs to ditch that movie career of hers and return to fighting terrorists.
