If you’re one of those people who thinks Gabrielle Anwar is about 10 pounds short of looking perfect, I don’t know if I would disagree with you. Sure, she’s a tad thin, but you gotta admit, thin sorta fits Gabrielle Anwar. She was never the tallest or biggest girl to come out of Hollywood, so what did we expect, she would get suddenly fat? As these images from the most recent episode of Burn Notice proves, Gabrielle Anwar and her uber tight body are two major reasons to watch Burn Notice. Okay, so the show is pretty cool, too, but you gotta admit, it wouldn’t be nearly as watchable without Gabrielle Anwar strutting around in those tight dresses and, in this episode, bikini. Oh my.

Who does Tricia Helfer play on the second season of Burn Notice? I’m guessing she’s the voice on the other end of the phone with Michael at the end of season 1. That should provide Helfer plenty to do in the coming season, as Michael attempts to outmaneuver her and her mystery “company” that he sort of went to work for at the end of Season 1. But who knows. All I know is that Tricia Helfer shows up on the second episode of Season 2, titled “Turn and Burn”, but not in the first episode, “Breaking and Entering”. Mind you, we won’t really miss her in the first episode, because Gabrielle Anwar is still there. Check out promo images from the first two episodes of Burn Notice Season 2. The show returns to the USA Network in July.

That’s right, baby! The best show on TV is back! Burn Notice Season 2 returns to the airwaves, and once again, there is a reason to not just skip over the USA Network the way we normally do. The last time we saw Michael Westen, burned CIA spy extraordinaire, he had signed up with a cloak and dagger organization in order to further his investigation into who burned him, leaving behind a sadden Fiona (the always tantalizingly hot Gabrielle Anwar), his nagging mom, and best pal (and FBI mole) Sam Axe. But who are the mysterious figures behind this organization, and what plans do they have for Michael? All these questions answered (hopefully), and more Fiona hotness in Season 2 of Burn Notice, starting July 10 on the USA Network. Ah, life is good again.

Geez, how long has it been since the USA Network’s original TV show Burn Notice finished up its first season and went on hiatus? It seems like it’s been ages; or maybe I’m just longing for the show’s return, since it’ll also mean the return of Gabrielle Anwar to my TV screen on a daily basis. Sure, I could go out and buy her movies, but that means leaving my house for the first time in two decades and counting, and that ain’t gonna happen. Here’s crossing my fingers and waiting and waiting and waiting … but then again, Gabrielle Anwar is worth waiting for. Now if she’ll only lift that restraining order and answer my phone calls…

Fans of good TV rejoice! News from TVLand is that the USA network, doing the very smart thing, has already renewed its original show “Burn Notice” for a second season, while the show is still on episode 7 (a great episode, by the way). I don’t know how many episodes USA gives their shows per season, but this is a major coup for the producers of the show, and a real treat to fans of Michael Weston (Jeffrey Donovan) and his pursuit of finding out who “burned” him. Plus, fans of Gabrielle Anwar can also rejoice. I’ve never seen Gabrielle look hotter or tougher (the combination of that is just irresistible) on any movie or show. My favorite actors in a show that’s become my favorite show plus a guaranteed second season? Damn, my day is looking up!

Don’t forget to watch “Burn Notice’s” premiere on the USA Network tonight for those of you who get the channel. It stars three of my favorite actors: Jeffrey Donovan, who was killer in “Touching Evil”; Gabrielle Anwar, who I have had a crush on since forever; and Bruce Campbell, the God among fanboys. The show is about a spy who is “burned” by his agency, and now he’s trapped in Miami with his overbearing mother, and trying to make ends meat. It looks like a really good show to jump on board if you like action and quirky characters. Plus, it has Bruce Friggin’ Campbell. I mean, how can you go wrong with that?

I love Gabrielle Anwar. Seriously, I’ve been in love with this woman ever since “Scent of a Woman”. I kept falling in love through “Body Snatchers”, all the way to “Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead”, and even during her B-movie days on junk like “Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal”. Now Gabrielle is finally starting to get her due, with roles in “The Tudors” and, upcoming, the USA Network show “Burn Notice”, about an ex-spy stuck in Miami doing private investigator work for money. Gabrielle will play Fiona Glenanne on the show, a tough former IRA chick who likes to blow things up. How hot is that? “Burn Notice” co-stars Jeffrey Donovan and — get this — Bruce Campbell!
