Nicolas Cage’s The Wicker Man Trailer — Recut as a Comedy

29 November 2007

I’ve never seen Nicolas Cage’s “The Wicker Man” remake, but from everything I’ve heard, it’s a pretty ghastly movie that almost no one liked. Well that might be because the film was a straight horror/thriller. But what if it was a comedy instead? Someone was thinking that, too, and they have gone and re-edited the trailer for “Wicker Man”, added a new soundtrack, and voila — here’s a recut version of the “Wicker Man” trailer — as a comedy! It’s pretty damn funny. Why is Nicolas Cage’s character going around punching chicks? That just seems wrong some how. The bees! The bees!

Best FP Shooter of 2007: Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfare

27 November 2007

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has got to be the best damn shooter of 2007. Or at least in my opinion it is. But then again, I’ve always been a rabid fan of the COD game series. They started out as World War II first-person shooters, but by the third installment I guess the makers of the game realized that WWII was worn out, so they brought the series to the modern age. COD 4: Modern Warfare is the result. The weapons are just excellent, and the action is extremely entertaining. The game itself was way too short in my mind, but that might be because I’m so used to the COD games that I literally ran through them in pretty fast order. But if you’ve never played the COD games, or if you’ve never played a first-person shooter, period, you gotta grab a copy of COD 4. Check out the trailer for it below.

A Runway Model Falls Through a Hole

21 November 2007

The only thing funnier to me than celebrities who dropped out of high school when they were 16 trying to educate me on world politics is when a supermodel does something really stupid, such as fall through a big ass hole in the runway. The best part about this is that the hole is RIGHT THERE, but this model has been trained to be such a stiff on the runway that she doesn’t even notice the gaping hole until she FALLS THROUGH IT. Yes, it’s easily the funniest thing a model has ever done. Hey, if laughing at dumb models is wrong, I don’t wanna be right. Which basically means I haven’t been right about a lot of stuff lately, but hey, that’s just how I likes ta roll.

MTV Cribs: The Homeless Version

20 November 2007

Let’s face it: MTV Cribs is stupid. The only episode that I ever found worthwhile was one where some celebrity kids made fun of the show by having broken down versions of the crap that usually shows up on MTV Cribs, and acting like it was all top-of-the-line stuff. Now THAT was a funny episode. While I was searching YouTube for that particular episode, I stumbled across this MTV Cribs parody. I guess you can call it a homeless version of MTV Cribs, where a homeless man with barely any teeth takes the MTV Cribs camera (complete with gratuitous seasick motions, of course) through his “crib”, which happens to be underneath an overpass. Best part? His ride — a gold-plated shopping cart! No, I kid you not. It’s not the episode I was looking for, but it’s pretty damn funny anyway!

Mike Huckabee is so Tough, Chuck Norris is Scared of Him

19 November 2007

Republican Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee is so tough, even Chuck Norris is afraid of him, and you know damn well that Chuck Norris isn’t afraid of no man, living or dead, or somewhere in-between. It’s also probably because Huckabee is so tough that Chuck voluntarily did this endorsement video ad for him, even though we all know Huckabee doesn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning the election. You know what’s the funniest thing about this ad? Chuck is an actor (well sort of, you know what I mean), but his line reading is stilted as heck, while Huckabee is a politician, and his line delivery is as smooth as silk! Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around? Oh, Chuck, if I wasn’t afraid you would come to my house and beat the crap out of me, I’d call you silly. Here’s Chuck’s ad for Mike Huckabee.

Child Beater 2 — Fighting is Still Bad!

14 November 2007

Rocky, the hero of the first Child Beater — okay, okay, so calling him “hero” is a bit much, but he was the star — returns to take on the two kids that beat his sorry ass last time around. This time, though, Rocky has a secret weapon — he’s brought his 2X4 with him, and he’s ready to get some sweet vengeance via Walking Tall. If you thought watching a grown man kick and flip kids around was fun, watch him go at them with a 2X2. Okay, okay, so it’s not really a 2X4, it’s more like one of those snow, children’s toys that breaks apart when you hit someone with it. Anyways, it’s still funny as hell. I’d love to get a DVD of this if I could, I’m laughing my ass off here.

Child Beater — Fighting is Bad!

13 November 2007

Man, this is just so wrong. Seriously, if there was a meter for righteousness and wrongness, this would be right up there with Totally Frakkin Wrong. I mean, holy crap. It’s some video of a guy name Rocky who goes around challenging and fighting, well, kids, thus earning him the moniker, “Child Beater”. It’s all a goof, of course, but the way Rocky is throwing those kids around — holy crap, that is just so wrong, man. Funny as hell, but oh so wrong. So am I bad guy for laughing at this? I mean, it’s so blasted funny! But, again, it’s just so wrong, man, so wrong on so many levels…

Olivia Munn is … The Lesbionic Woman

12 November 2007

You gotta love Olivia Munn. How could you not? She’s a super hot woman who knows what geeks like, and she doesn’t mind giving it to us. Geeks love girls in Slave Princess Leia costumes, so what does she do? That’s right, she dresses up as Slave Princess Leia, gold bikini and all. And of course, what geek, or just men in general, doesn’t love the fact that the new Bionic Woman is pretty hot, but there’s just one thing missing — lesbianism! So check out Olivia Munn in The Lesbionic Woman, a G4 Attack of the Show parody of the NBC sci-fi series. And yes, there is a scene where Olivia Munn makes out with a girl, tongue action and all. Oh Lord, thank you for giving me eyes…

Dick in a Box Live at MSG by Justin Timberlake

8 November 2007

Apparently at all of his concerts Justin Timberlake spends the final minutes doing the song “Dick in a Box” from his infamous Saturday Night Live skit. This time it was at Madison Square Garden and apparently Andy Samberg was there to help him do it. Or maybe it’s not Samberg. But in any case, it’s a live version of the hit “Dick in a Box”, and besides Timberlake and Samberg (maybe) walking around with a box connected to their crotch, there are a half dozen other guys doing the same thing. Now come on, that’s gotta be crazy, right? I still think this is the best skit SNL has ever done that doesn’t involve Phil Hartman, Dana Carvey, or Christopher Walken guest-hosting.

Things Hitting Guys Crotches are Still Funny

7 November 2007

Let’s face it — no matter how many times you see it, in however many situation or variety, it’s still funny as hell. You show it three times in a roll, from three different angles, and it’s still funny. I’m talking about things hitting men in the crotch by accident, of course. Such as a soccer player sliding into a goal post. With his crotch. Hitting the goal post at full speed. OUCH. Shown from three different angles. Yup, it hurts more and more with every angle you see. But hey, if God didn’t want to have guys get hit in the nads every now and then with an inanimate object, he wouldn’t have made it so gosh darn funny.

A British Girl Informs Us About Britain. Sort of.

5 November 2007

So there’s this British girl (or English girl) on YouTube who answers questions about Britain, or the UK, or England, or whatever. Anyways, she starts off answering a question about what’s the difference between the UK, Britain, Scotland, China, or something. Then she goes into tea. Why do Brits drink so much tea? Then — well, it’s pretty funny. It’s worth watching because the girl is very cute, and when people starts commenting in the YouTube thread about how she’s wrong on everything she’s saying, she replies with, “So eff dat yo”. I love this girl. Seriously, cute as hell, and love the necklace. Then again, maybe I’m just partial to girls who speaks with an English accent who actually calls the Queen a “leech”. And oh yeah, she curses like a sailor. Yowsers!

Criss Angel vs. Jim Callahan — WHO YA GOT??

2 November 2007

Dude, Criss Angel rocks! So here’s the deal: Criss Angel is one of the judges on an NBC show called Phenomenon, where they have a bunch of magicians, physics, what have you on the show, and at the end of the season, one of them wins and gets some money or something. (Um, I’m really not sure, but that’s probably what happens.) But in any case, on last night’s live taping of Phenomenon, they had on a “psychic” name Jim Callahan, who does one of those “talk to the dead” gags. Anyways, Callahan goes through his 10-minute long routine of summoning spirits. I really have no idea what he did, I skipped through most of it because, come on, it’s just embarassingly fake what he’s doing. After the end of Callahan’s gag, Criss Angel challenges Callahan to tell him what he (Angel) has in an envelope that he’s holding up, and if Callahan guesses right, Angel will give him $1 million dollars. Instead of claiming that $1 million using his super psychic powers, Callahan instead pretends like he’s offended and tries to fight with Angel! It is, bar none, the funniest (and dumbest) thing I’ve ever seen on TV. Check it out.

A Cheerleader Gets Run Over by the Football Team

1 November 2007

Dude, cheerleading is dangerous! Besides having to get thrown into the air like a pinata, you gut those big football players trying to run you over. Okay, so maybe they weren’t trying to run her over on purpose, but boy, did they put some bruises on the poor girl! According to the news report of the incident, the cheerleader ended up with a broken jaw. And get this — she was the homecoming princess for the football game, too! Wow. I especially like how the newscast kept replacing the point where she gets run over over and over again. You gotta love local news. Now remember, cheerleaders — dating me is dangerous, but working those football games are practically life and death!

Craig Ferguson: Best Talk Show Monologue … EVER

31 October 2007

If you’ve never seen Craig Ferguson’s Late Late Show on CBS, then you’re missing out on what I believe is, bar none, the best talk show host out there right now. Not only is Craig Ferguson a funny Scottish comedian, but he does the best opening show monologues I’ve ever seen. What’s so good about it? For one, he has absolutely no established plan for his monologue; he just comes out with a general idea of what he wants to do and he rips. Which invariably means he’ll end up going off on strange tangents that have nothing to do with how he started out with in the first place. Here’s Craig Ferguson talking about Steven Seagal, and why Craig loves him. (Mainly, it’s because Seagal has a song on his album called “Talk to my Ass.”) Great stuff, man, great stuff.

Britney Spears is Ugly and her Jaw Hurts, and She Wants to See a Movie — Hunh?

30 October 2007

This is, bar none, the funniest damn video I have ever seen. I’ve actually seen clips of it all over the place (a lot of times on Talk Soup), but I never actually saw the whole 3-minute video. It’s basically Britney Spears sitting in a bathroom with a cap on talking to the camera. I don’t know who is running the camera (is it Kevin Federline?), but what comes out of Spears’ mouth is just the funniest things I have ever heard. She starts off by talking about how she’s ugly and her jaw hurts, then goes on about how she wants to go see a movie, but doesn’t know where it’s playing. That moves into Spears positing about the feasibility of time travel, or as she puts it, “time trek”. The video has been on YouTube for over a year, so I don’t think it’s getting pulled. Hunh? Stop looking through the peephole!

Dana Carvey in Choppin Broccoli SNL Sketch

29 October 2007

During his tenure at Saturday Night Live, comedian Dana Carvey proved that back in the ’80s, you could make a soft power ballad about just anything as long as you put it to piano music and sing it with conviction. Here’s the famous “Choppin Broccoli” sketch where Carvey’s musician character makes up a song on the spot to impress Sigourney Weaver and Phil Hartman. The best part of the sketch is Carvey’s face, as he struggles to find the next line, and then when he finds it, his face just lights up. It’s priceless, and one of the best Saturday Night Live skits of all time.

One Reason to Watch CNN’s Headline News: Robin Meade

29 October 2007

Oh let’s face it — the only reason anyone ever watches CNN’s Headline News Cable Show is if we’re really board or we happen to be channel surfing when we run across Robin Meade doing her anchor desk duties. As every horny guy knows, cable TV news is full of women who looks more like models than actual journalists. Now I’m not saying that Robin Meade has no journalistic resume to speak off, but I am saying you don’t carry around those “talents” of hers and not use them, if you know what I mean, and I think you do. Hint hint, wink wink. Here’s one reason why Robin Meade might be a tad distracting when she’s trying to interview you about, er, insulation, or something.

Robot Chicken Does 300 aka 1776

22 October 2007

Everybody and their momma has done a parody of the “300″ movie trailer once or twice or 100 times or so, so it’s no surprise that the guys over at Cartoon Network’s Robot Chicken finally got around to it. But of course, this being Robot Chicken, their parody is a lot funnier than pretty much everyone else’s in my opinion. If you’ve never seen Robot Chicken, it’s a bunch of sketches using puppets and action figures, and about 99% of the voice work is done by Seth Green, that guy from the Austin Powers movies. Green was also a star on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and plays Chris on Family Guy. He’s one funny dude, and Robot Chicken is killer comedy. Here’s their parody of 300 — 1776! I only have one thing to say: “This … is … AMERICA!”

Quite Possibly the Unfunniest Trailer for a Comedy I Have Ever Seen

18 October 2007

Holy Mother of God. How unfunny is this trailer for the new sports-themed parody comedy “The Comebacks”? I swear to God, shouldn’t trailers for comedies be filled to the brim with all of the movie’s best jokes? So putting that theory into practice, does this then mean that the makers of “The Comebacks” have squeezed the funniest jokes their movie could muster into their trailer? And if that’s the case, does the fact that there is absolutely nothing funny about the trailer make “The Comebacks” then, well, a comedy without any comedy? Jesus H. Christ. How could you go so wrong parodying sports movie cliches? South Park has done a million times better than this in a 20-minute episode!

Jon Stewart and Chris Matthews Throwdown

9 October 2007

So I’ve been hearing about this throwdown between Jon Stewart and Chris Matthews on the Daily Show forever this morning, and finally found the clip of it. The confrontation only lasts for a minute or so, and the rest is a lot of talking about what happened. Basically, Matthews went on The Daily Show to hawk his book and expected to find a friendly audience, but instead Stewart lit into him. It’s great stuff, and you sort of feel sorry for Matthews after a while. Well, sort of, if he wasn’t such an overbearing douche bag, that is. The best line? Matthews asks Stewart to come on his show, and Stewart replies with a straight face: “I don’t troll.” Oh…my…GOD.
