A Jeri Ryan Sighting

Was there any doubt that of all the cast of “Star Trek: Voyager”, that Jeri Ryan would be the only one with a viable career after the show went off the air? Okay, so that guy who played Tom Paris has the occasional role playing a supporting role here and there (I think he even played a bad cop on NYPD Blue), but it’s Jeri Ryan who has carried the mantle of ex-”Voyager” castmate with a viable career. And it’s not like she’s the token “sex” role on CBS’s “Shark”. That’s a meaty role, kids, and Jeri Ryan, besides James Woods, are reasons why you should watch “Shark” if you haven’t given it a shot yet. For a lawyer show, it’s damn good.

J.J. Abrams Back on Star Trek XI? I’m Confused.

First he was off the project, and now he’s back on. Who can keep up with this guy? His career has more twists and turns than an episode of his show “Lost”. (Mind you, not that I’ve actually seen a whole episode of “Lost”, or know enough about it to make such a parallel, but since making the parallel makes me look all hip and cool, I’m gonna do it anyway. Hey, that’s just how I like to roll.) What was I saying? Oh right. It appears that J.J. Abrams is back onboard the “Star Trek” prequel or sequel or whatever it is they’re going to call it. JJ Abrams Is Off the “Star Trek” Prequel Movie!

Wow, talk about a Geeks Galore bloodbath. First Joss Whedon, King Geek himself, leaves the Wonder Woman movie, then David Goyer, Comic Book Movie King himself, leaves the Flash movie, and now JJ Abrams, the Wacky TV Show Guy, has left the director’s chair of the long-planned Star Trek prequel movie. This from Latino Review: “JJ Abrams has left the “Star Trek XI” directors seat. Instead, he is going to direct “Cloverfield,” ironically enough, for Paramount. Another amicable parting it seems.”. Oh well. So no scenes of a young Spock and Kirk putting on red wigs and battling smoky monsters on an island? Bummer.

I’m not sure where Jeri Ryan is in these pictures, and to be honest with you, I could give a flying fig. She’s super hot. As in, she’s so super hot here that if she was still a Borg I would let her assimilate me but good. As in, she’s so super hot here that if she was a lawyer and she didn’t even go to law school and couldn’t read I’d still let her defend me against multiple murder charges. As in, she’s so super hot I’m definitely tuning in to watch her new show on CBS called “Sharks” with James Wood. Yup, Jeri Ryan is smoking hot in pink. (And people say I’m shallow. Wha-EV.)
