Supernatural’s Katie Cassidy is a Bad, Bad Demon

Actress Katie Cassidy may play an indestructible and bullet-proof demon on the CW’s Supernatural, but the poor girl can’t handle her liquor in real life. The 21-year old actress and daughter of David Cassidy of Partridge Family fame was nabbed sometime in October for being intoxicated and giving false information to the cops when the car she was riding in was pulled over. From Zap2It: “She said that she was scared and that was why she lied,” reads the report. “She said that she is a Hollywood actress and that this would not look good for her.” But of course Katie was being silly. In Hollywood getting caught by the cops drinking while underage is the surest road to super stardom. Just as Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Britney Spears, and on, and on, and on…

The Girls of Supernatural Season 3: Katie Cassidy and Lauren Cohan

Just as the guys at Smallville got smart and added a super hot blonde to the show as Supergirl, the guys over at Supernatural also got smart and added two babes to their show’s Season 3: Katie Cassidy and Lauren Cohan. Now I don’t know if the producers of these shows are doing this on their own, or if the CW are demanding that they sex up their respective shows, but whoever got this ball rolling, I say, “Thanks!” We’ve already seen Katie Cassidy, a demon demon-killer (no, that wasn’t a typo) on Supernatural, but Lauren Cohan has yet to show up. But based on the previews we’ve seen of next week’s episode, it should be a nice intro to her badass character. That’s another thing: Not only are all these new injections of blood babelicious, but they’re all ass-kickers! Coincidence?

Katie Cassidy and Lauren Cohan Join Supernatural

It would appear that the CW’s Winchester brothers are getting a little help in their demon hunting ways, and maybe a little nooky or two, if all goes well for the boys. SciFiWire reports that the horror/fantasy series, entering its third season, will be introducing some fresh blood in the form of Katie Cassidy and Lauren Cohan to the show. Lauren Cohan will play Bela, a bounty hunter (of demons, one supposes), while Cassidy will play Ruby, a fellow demon hunter who gets in the boys’ way. “Supernatural” follows the adventures of two demon hunting brothers played by Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, and is basically one of the only cool shows on the CW for the boys.
