American Idol Hook-up: David Cook and Kimberly Caldwell Dating

It’s good to be David Cook. After just recently wiping the floor with that little snot nose punk Archuleta, Cook is now dating former American Idol and all-around Texas babe Kimberly Caldwell. Or at least that’s what Cook announced to the world this Tuesday on “Live With Regis and Kelly”. According to Cook, he and the blonde babe (check out some of her old Maxim pics below from a few years back) recently went out on a date after hooking up via Caldwell’s American Idol-based TV show on the TV Guide network, and says Cook, they’ll probably be “hanging out” again. Wow, is that what the kids are calling it now, “hanging out”? Dammit, I should have gone to that AI audition when they came around last year. Heck, I’m sure I would have won. My version of “I Will Survive” is killer, or so I’ve been told.

Kimberly Caldwell Keeps Getting Hotter

Of all the former American Idol girls, especially the ones from the original first season, I have to say that Kimberly Caldwell has stayed the hottest throughout the years. She’s currently doing TV work on the TV Guide channel, and every now and then she shows off those pipes. The last time I saw her was when she sang at the Houston-Buccaneers game in December 2007, when she sang (and fantastically, I might add) the National Anthem before the game. I was surprised it was Kimberly Caldwell, actually, since I don’t recall her voice being that husky, but wow, fantastic performance from a fantastic babe.

A Kimberly Caldwell Sighting

So where has former American Idol Kimberly Caldwell been keeping herself lately? I haven’t seen a whole lot of her since the first season of American Idol, and there was a bikini shoot a while back, but since then, not so much. Well that changed earlier tonight when I spotted Kimberly Caldwell back in her hometown of Houston, Texas singing the national anthem at the Texans-Bronocs game on the NFL Network, and let me just say — wow, the woman is still gorgeous, with a stunning singing voice. I don’t know why Kimberly Caldwell hasn’t released a CD yet, or if she did, why it didn’t go big. She’s got a great voice, the kind made for love ballads and soulful music.

Ex-American Idol Kimberly Caldwell in Bikini

Regular American Idol watchers will recognize Kimberly Caldwell from the second season of AI, where she lasted into the final rounds, before getting ousted at 7th place. I don’t really know why she’s not singing anymore, but as I recall it, she’s got a pretty good voice. But Kimberly Caldwell seems to have left singing behind, and is doing mostly TV work now. I think I caught her every now and then on FOX News, but then again, it’s not like I watch FOX News a whole lot, so she could be on there everyday and I wouldn’t know. (I really gotta watch cable news channels more often…) In any case, here’s Kimberly Caldwell doing the bikini thing. Texas girls and bikinis always seem to go together like Michael Jackson and child endangerment lawsuits. What I’m trying to say is — me likey!

Hollywood Babes Love the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards

Yes, folks, it’s that time of the year again, when TV’s beautiful people crowd the red carpet and act like movie stars, even though, you know, they’re not. I mean, they do work in TV, primarily. But I digress. Among the hotties attending the 58th Annual Primetime Emmys (aka the Friggin Emmys that No One Watches) were Jennifer Love Hewitt and her marvelous breasts, former American Idol chick Kimberly Caldwell, found again Evangeline Lilly, midget lover Heather Locklear, “reporters” Maria Menounos, Vanessa Minnillo, and Nancy O’Dell; and finally, my favorite house call Doctor, Jennifer Morrison. Now where did the Emmys misplace my invitation? I tell ya, those guys need to get their act together…
