Latin Flavor of the Day: Patricia de Leon
Our Latin Flavor of the Day is the very spicy Patricia de Leon, a former Miss Panana who parlayed her beauty queen status into a gig with Univision. She’s now an actress and model, and is a regular on the ABC Family series Lincoln Heights. More about her: “Patricia’s first big break was being crowned MISS PANAMA. She then established herself across Latin America as a reporter for Univision. Patricia can currently be seen each week as the host of Azteca TV’s Corte del Juez Franco where is co hosts the latin tv series. Most recently, she was the host of Billboard Latino, a music countdown show. Her other TV credits include CBS’s Cold Case and NBC’s Crossing Jordan.

Our Latin Flavor of the Day is Gina La Piana, a singer, actress, and composer (yes, I said composer) from Latin America. That means she doesn’t just act in films, she actually scores them, too. And oh yeah, did I mention she’s also drop dead gorgeous? More on her: “The talented actress and musician started her career in the entertainment industry as she was signed a major label deal with SONY in an all girl group called “Carmen Jones”. She later signed with Columbia Records to be in another all-girl group called, “Movida”. After building her music career and maturing as an artist, Gina was signed as a solo artist through MCA with Randy Jackson. Since, Gina has also accomplished writing and singing for Disney, including the end title song for CINDERALLA PART II: DREAMS DO COME TRUE; “Put it Together”.

It’s always nice to get a visit from a hottie in one of our neighbors to the South. That’s Mexico for those of you not as well-versed in geography as I am. Don’t hurt yourself, that’s why I’m here. Anyways, our Latin Flavor of the Day is Mexican TV personality Montserrat Olivier. The name makes you think of some guy with a mustache, but that all changes when you see Montserrat Olivier in person. Or in pictures. The woman ain’t no man, and she ain’t got no mustache. At least, not that we can see, ahem.

What I do know about Brendha Haddad is that she recently showed up on the pages of Mexico’s version of Maxim, so from that scant little evidence, I’m going to go with the assumption that she comes to us with some Latina flavor to her. You don’t get anymore Latin Flavorific than Crystal Mantecon, who according to her bio on IMDB.com, is of Caucasian, Caribbean, Eastern European, Native American, Mixed, Indian/South Asian, Mediterranean, Latin/Hispanic, and Middle Eastern ethnicity. And if you’re keeping track, that’s more ethnicity than most American cities can boast in total! But hey, one look at Crystal Mantecon and you can tell it’s all true. The woman really is incredibly ethnic looking, which is to say, she’s incredibly exotic and out of this world hot for it. She first came to everyone’s attention as Sister Mary Francis in Prison Break, but will be seen in 2010’s Terrence Malick’s “The Tree of Life”. As they say, our girl is moving on up!

It’s hard finding a whole lot on Lucia Moreno on this here Internet, so slotting her in our Latin Flavor of the Day category may prove faulty when some bio on her shows up. But for now, I’m going to go under the assumption that a woman name “Lucia Moreno” is possibly (and probably) a Latina, and take it from there. And hey, even if I’m wrong, whatever, call me on it if you want. Don’t you have anything better to do with your time? Like gawking at pictures of Lucia Moreno instead of taking me to task for some wrong bio? Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Almudena Fernandez is a model from Benavente, Zamora, Spain, and according to Wiki, began her professional career at an early age, leaving Madrid in search for a path that would take her to Milan, Paris, and finally New York, where she has established her home for the past few years. She was crowned “Miss Madrid” in 1992, then became “Miss Random Page” in 2009. Okay, so maybe “Miss Random Page” doesn’t really exist (though it should!), but for the purposes of this post, let’s just pretend it is and with it, because to not do otherwise would be just plain silly, and we don’t want to be silly, do we?

Our Latin Flavor of the Day is Cecilia Galliano, who I’m almost 100% sure is some kind of model form Argentina, although as always the case with Al Gore’s Interwebs, you really can’t be sure what information to trust. Oh sure, I could spend an extra minute looking for the answers, but you know me, if there’s an easy way out, I’m gonna take it. Sort of like how I’m rambling on here instead of offering you any actual information on Cecilia Galliano, except for the fact that she’s kinda hot, if your definition of “kinda” is really, really awesomely hot. Our Latin Flavor of the Day is Brazilian beauty Giselle Itie. What, you don’t know who Giselle Itie is? No, she’s not THAT Giselle, but she’s about to be pretty famous too when Sylvester Stallone’s new action flick “The Expendables” opens next year. You see, Giselle is playing the really hot Latin piece of ass in that movie. Okay, so that’s pretty much all I know, but what else you gotta know? The woman is hot, she’s Latin, and she’s gonna be in a big ass Hollywood movie. If that doesn’t translate into instant celebrityhood and plenty of opportunities to show up in men’s magazines (hopefully wearing as little clothes as possible) than this just ain’t the America I know and love.

I’m not sure how that’s possible, given those perfect legs and slender frame, but hey, who am I to argue against the accuracy of IMDB. They’re like Wikipedia, only with less letters in their name. Anyways, also according to IMDB, Dolores Barreiro is an actress who has appeared in “Rayo, El” and “Planetario”, both shows I’ve never seen, and probably never will, given I don’t live in Argentina or speak Spanish. Except for Habla. I know that means “cookie”. Right?

What, you’ve never seen any of those shows? Shame on you! They’re, like, really Brazilian and stuff. Okay, so I’ve never seen any of those shows, either, but that doesn’t change the fact that Deborah Secco, one of their stars, is quite easy on the eyes. Now what were you doing when you were 12? I know I was scraping off gum from under those school chairs and trying to see if some of them still had flavor left. Look, you can mock me all you want, but the truth is, yeah, some of them actually DID still have flavor. So there, whose the donkey now? Today’s Latin Flavor of the Day to you by food, without which we would probably starve to death. Or at least be really skinny. And die. Now I’m not a biologist or scientist or something equally fancy, but I believe you need food to stay alive. I could be wrong, of course. Speaking of food, our Latin Flavor of the Day, Brazilian model Renata Kuerten could definitely use a cheeseburger or two. She’s a tad too thin for my taste, but as the saying goes, I wouldn’t kick her out of bed. I’d kick her to a McDonalds and get her some food, but definitely not out of bed.

The Paraguay native came to fame for being married to Mexican singer Cristian Castro, but the couple has since divorced. That led to Gaby becoming even more famous, and showing up in men’s magazines in her underwear. Which leads to us thanking the good Cristian Castro, because without him we wouldn’t have these pictures of Gaby Bo. Thanks, Cristian! Now go jump off a bridge, you dope. You actually divorced THIS?

Of course by “in the know” I mean someone who took a minute to register on IMDB.com and added to her entry. Despite that, we’re going to take their word for it and go from there, because to do otherwise would be way too complicated and take too much of our time, and you know how we hate to waste time. It’s not easy being a flavorful Latina, especially for seven days a week. Just ask my friend Lou, who lives in the alleyway between the liquor store and the laundrymat, because, as Lou tells me, it’s much cheaper than some stinking hotel. Methinks Lou is a bit of a homeless bum, but he insists he’s “between homes”, and who am I to argue? Anyway, according to Lou the homeless bum, girls like Soledad Guardiola have to go through a lot of work every day to look this good. I wouldn’t know anything about that, being a heterosexual male with manly ambitions and wants, and manly stuff like that. But I sure can appreciate that girls like our Latin Flavor of the Day Soledad Guardiola has to go through to look this good day in and day out.
